Elongated Man Vs. The Absorbing Man

So this is where Ralph's been while his wife was out looking for him! I always thought that Crusher Creel could be a mighty force for good with his power set, but alas, he just doesn't have the mindset for that kind of life.

On an unrelated note, maybe Taz’s father from Tas-Mania could meet Sugar Bea; they sound alike,

@Ross: I guess that moral distinction is just one thing he couldn't absorb. One wonders if Rama Kushna's favorite interventionist might be able to help him adopt a Brand-new attitude.

@Cary: all I know is Ralph really should've brought the rest of the Expansion Team with him. Or, at least, Reed Richards.

Seems to me I've been hearing that in some recent stories the Absorbing man actually is making a heel-face turn and helping helping heroes fight common enemies - even if only to save someone else he actually cares about. I don't know if that is actually the case or just the usual baseless rumors though.

I was just going over Who's Who #26 & realized how many of that issues characters haven't appeared on the blog yet.

How about X'Hal vs. Dark Phoenix? Marvel's Enchantress taking Yellow Peri under her wing as a mentor. Wrath vs Punisher. Captain Triumph & Kitty Pryde. Wizard World meets Disney's Geppetto. Dragonsword & Conan. Zyklon vs. The Whizzer. Zoot Sputnik meets Futurama. Captain X & Union Jack. Wyoming Kid & Two-Gun Kid.

More ideas = Mekanique & Jocasta. Yankee Poodle & American Eagle. Knodar & The Enforcers. ROM or Nova 1 vs the Zamarons. Neutron & Nitro. The 1000 & Hydra. Wynnde & Ka-Zar. Blackjak vs. Marvel's Bullseye. Angel & The Ape meet Cloak & Dagger. Finally, Y'smalla vs. Shanna the She-Devil. Any takers?

I'm surprised we haven't seen Absorbing Man become an ongoing menace to Metamorpho; he certainly would present some interesting challenges. It might also be interesting to see what he'd be like if he were to absorb an Oan power battery.

Argh! 'Twas my remark there; I didn't think to log in first.

If Absorbing Man absorbed a personality, would that change him? And Ralph definitely has to have 'something up his sleeve' for dealing with this "hard head"!!

See STF #567 @ Nov. 1, 2013.

Well, if Absorbing Man had a second clash with Rudy "the Parasite" Jones (see STF #2692 @ 8/27/2019), he might have another personality switch (a la Black Lightning and Jack of Hearts @ STF #5136?). Leading to a third clash between the Parasite and Thor (see STF #3711 @ 6/11/2022 and STF #4564 @ 10/11/2024)!

While Rudy Jones, in Crusher Creel's body, is probably trying to steal Ralph's JLA teleporter signal in order to get another crack at Superman (a la STF #1597 @ 8/27/2016) without any interference from Scott Lang (who's preoccupied helping Wonder Woman @ STF #5014 from 1/4/2026).

Those giant robots the latter were battling, by the way, were probably constructs of...The Construct (see STF #4487 @ 7/26/2024). Out for revenge against Ralph, even if only indirectly!
