Superman and Kolchak: The Night Stalker

Superman has never been crazy about dealing with the supernatural, so I can see him calling in an ally like Kolchak in those types of situations.  I wonder what Kolchak would make of working with a Kryptonian, though.

I would suppose that, to him, it would be just another day at the office (of the Chicago Independent News Service). Especially if helping Kal-El earned him membership in the Newshounds!

"What Is Hidden Within The Krypton Crypt"?

My first guess: that ancient Sith Lord...Darth Kru-El!

P.S. @ Ross: I wonder if the Nightstalker realizes he and Supes have the same civilian initials.

Good points Carycomic and Anons! Just seeing the dynamics between Kolchak and Clark Kent would make for a great story by itself. Clark would certainly be just a little bit more than suspicious of Kolchak's track record. And even with Superman's vulnerability to the occult, he probably wouldn't feel too secure with Kolchak trying to watch his back. Well done!

The way Kolchak's holding that cross is actually a little frightening. Like... they're dealing with a Kryptonian vampire!

This may call for a sequel featuring Supes with Blade.

Beware of... the Krypton Knight!

Btw Superman did have an enemy named Kru-El back in the Silver Age, in case you didn't know. One of the Phantom Zone criminals I think; not sure.

This blog needs more Superman covers. He has only 220 covers to Batman's 541. It'd take almost a year's worth of covers for him to catch up now.

Well, since the blog started as The Brave and The Bold: The Lost Issues (hence the address), Batman had quite a head start with over 300 covers as host.
