Sinestro Vs. Man-Thing

I am not expecting any follow ups to Justice League in the theaters any time soon, given the critical and commercial reaction to the first outing.  While I think at least a soft reboot is in order, I have to admit that I liked the tease at the end of the formation of a Legion of Doom / Injustice League-type team.  I still hope that we will see a story line like that in the movies one of these days.

Let's see how the Aquaman movie does. If its well received, they could go back to the original League, where Aquaman and Wonder Woman, Flash and GL, and the Martian Manhunter were front and center and Supes and Bats were mostly in the background. Go for a decent story and character bits and lose the blockbuster pressure.

How on Earth (or Oa) could Sinestro honestly expect the Man-Thing to give a sentient answer when he's both mute and mostly instinctual (empathically reacting only to strong negative emotions like fear)? And, even if he was sentient enough to nod acceptance, wouldn't he basically self-destruct the moment he tried to instill fear through his yellow power ring?

Personally I'd like to see a Justice League sequel, but put on the slow track. Go ahead and develop it, but let's get to know the individual members in their solo films, and watch the Legion of Doom grow in post-credit sequences. Aquaman and Shazam both look to be great superhero films, and Wonder Woman 1984 is showing some early promise as well. If that pattern continues with the Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps films, then Justice League 2 can come into place. (That's not even mentioning the Black Adam film and any prospective Suicide Squad sequel.)

It'd be great to have post-credits sequences with Luthor inviting Black Manta, Dr. Sivana, Cheetah, and other villains into his Legion of Doom; and of course Sinestro would be included in that.

I don't hope to see a new JLA movie until DC tosses out the who tone, style and editorial philosophy that's been driving them fir the last few years.

I agree completely about the tone. I liked the tone in Wonder Woman and was hoping with a new director tone would have been improved but with things like Death of Superman being the impetus in formation, Batman without charm he can demonstrate when he wishes and the Flash which did not come from comics at all only Wonder Woman and Aquaman showed enough to want more. Add more Eisenberg's Luthor which turned off many fans and then chances plummet.
