Dick Tracy and Captain Marvel
When I look at the inventive and whimsical character designs of both C.C. Beck and Chester Gould, it's not hard to imagine that their signature characters could inhabit the same world. It would have been cool to see how Beck would have illustrated Dick Tracy or how Gould would have interpreted The Big Red Cheese.

Yes, it is quite plausible that Dick Tracy and Capt. Shazam could've had a friendship a la the Silver Age Batman and Commissioner Gordon. Thank you, Ross, for giving us yet another creatively brilliant depiction of what might and (more often) should've been. :-)
Great faux cover...maybe DC will get on that.
Terrific! I agree with your comments, and I feel the same way about Captain Marvel and Plastic Man - likely the two biggest Golden Age heroes not published by National or Timely. Oh, and happy Thanksgiving - thanks for the daily beauties!
Thanks for visiting, ELS!
I particularly love the cityscape background on this cover. Where is it from? I also love the title "Bugged!"
it's a "Presto-Magix" background, they were popular when I was a kid, you would get a background and sheets of images that can be transferred onto it.
How about Dick Tracy and Wonder Woman?
