Justice League of America Vs. The Super-Adaptoid

I had to remove The Avengers as well as some other items before I could add in the JLA on this cover.  Here's a look at the behind the scenes progress:

What if the Adaptoid's actual plan is to copy the powers of the JLA members and then use them against the Avengers?

Amazo is probably already doing just that. He already started with Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, and the Vision! See his search link near the top of the left hand column.

@Anon814: And maybe tomorrow you'll finally get your wish (The Totalitarians vs. Mangog and Doomsday). If only so the rest of us can finally get some peace and quiet about that!

Flash pole-vaulting into action.

Using the handle of Aquaman's trident, most likely.

I'd just been about to comment that that's an interesting pose for the Flash -- though it does appear to be the original orientation. It has me wondering about the original context.

Brilliant. I immediately sort-of recognised the JLA cover but it took me a while to locate it - #2 from January 1961. Then I noticed you'd sneakily switched Aquaman and Martian Manhunter around on the page. I hope it won't cramp their fighting styles.
It brought back a lot of happy memories of those early JLA days. Glad to see them handing out lumps to another baddie.

I wondered where Superman & Batman were. Aside from Superman, you couldn't tell a reverse image from a regular.

Ross, you can go back to those cherished times for source anytime!! My only question: how much difference would the Super-Adaptoid be to Amazo??

You can also tell if the Flash was flipped by the slant of his lightning bolt (not visible in this picture, though), and Green Lantern by his ring hand.

Detective Tobor, this is obviously the very early JLA. Superman and Batman were only part-time members at the time- it was almost always just the five shown here (I beleive the editors of the Superman and Batman comics were stingy about letting other people use their characters.)

I think Amazo would have more super-speed than the Adaptoid (proportionate to the Flash being comparatively faster than Quicksilver).
