P.S.---how about Steve Ditko's Machine Man meeting Will Eisner's The Spirit? Seeing as how they both live(d) in Central City?
Why not? The premise could involve Aaron Stack (as an insurance investigator) trying to determine if Police Commissioner Dolan's daughter illegally received life insurance benefits from the late Denny Colt's policy.
Maybe throw in Barry Allen (Silver Age Flash) into the Central City mix as well?
How about Lead of the Metal Men meets Mon-el? Mon-el has a sensitivity to lead!
With Ultron mind-controlling him into doing it, of course! Just to preserve Ross' concept of Marvel characters-as counter-balance.
I agree with Kid C -- if Machine Man actually has roots in Central City, that's good reason to also include not only the Spirit and the Flash, but also Sonic. They can bill themselves as the Central City Defenders.
I'd love to see a movie poster simulation involving Godzilla '98 (aka "Matthew Brodzilla") vs. the Black Dragon from REIGN OF FIRE.

Is Chemo the American Cousin to the Smog Monster?
Not quite. Hedora started out as a sea creature mutated by chemical pollution. Whereas Chemo's Silver Age origin had it as an accumulation of toxic waste in a transparent, humanoid-shaped vat that somehow became quasi-sentient and bipedally mobile!
English translation: they're as different to each other as an Egyptian mummy is to the Frankenstein Monster in those old Universal horror films of the 1930's. One is just a zombie in bandages (jazzed up by the morbid fascination with the legend of King Tut's Curse). While the other is more of a proto-steampunk cyborg.
I always called that one "Taco Bell Godzilla" myself!
