I have mentioned before on this blog that my favorite cover artists for Marvel and DC are Gil Kane and Nick Cardy, respectively. If you were to ask me who my favorite cover artist for non-Marvel and DC titles, it would have to be Will Eisner. His cover scenes were filled with mood, action and great character design. Plus, his utilization of text and logos as part of the art always made them special.
This is another team up that I feel has been long overdue. I can see these two working very well together. I just cut the cord, so I will have to wait to watch the final episodes of Superman and Lois when they show up on Max, but I am hoping for at least one more big action sequence from Steel.
There's a little too much light pollution where I live, so I don't pull out my telescope to use very often. When I do, I like to check out Jupiter or Saturn if I can, and looking close up at the Moon is always cool. It makes me think about the dark side which never faces us - who's to say there isn't a Blue Area over there, just waiting for a team of heroes to call it it their home base?
Adam Strange first met The Inhumans in STF #4372...
Not a pairing that might immediately come to mind, but one that I would love to see, as Ralph Dibny is one of my favorite everyman heroes, and I like seeing him matched with different characters. Besides, Logan has plenty of mysteries in his life, who's to say he wouldn't call upon the stretchable sleuth for some assistance?
The Phantom Stranger is a character that I would love to see join the DCU. He may not get his own movie or series, but he could be like a spooky Nick Fury in that he could show up in other character's projects at key moments to offer guidance or assistance. I bet it would be a fun role for an actor to portray.
Something tells me that these two would get along pretty well. Even so, it would be fun to watch them in battle with one another. They could really let loose and present a truly spectacular fight scene if the artist assigned to it cuts loose as well.
I've been getting requests for The Totalitarians for return for a third appearance, but it was tricky to find an opponent that could provide a challenge for such a powerful team. Then, I also received some requests for One Punch Man to make his STF debut - he seemed like the prefect choice to up against this villainous team.
If you are going to wear a big initial on your costume, just be sure you are aware of who you are standing next to! Let's hope these guys can get some fashion tips from superherodom's top designer!
The similar color schemes make these two heroes look good together. Captain Marvel has magic based abilities of flight, speed and strength with a nice guy personality and a youthful identity, so he has aspects of Dr. Strange, Thor, Quicksilver, Captain America and Spider-Man all rolled into one - It would be interesting to see Tony Stark's reaction to working with him.
Not a pairing that naturally comes to mind, but Dinah Lance is no stranger to crossing dimensions and Reed Richards works well with blondes, so why not? Besides, the images worked well together and I had the perfect title that I wanted to use!
We've seen stories where Hex moves ahead in time, but I like it when heroes from the future come back to visit him as well. I remember really liking the two part story in Justice League of America #198-199, where the leaguers met a bunch of DC's Western heroes. I would be cool to see the Avengers do the same.
