I thought it would be fun to have the original stretching hero cross paths with one of the newer kids on the block. It might be interesting to see Plas in a mentor role. He's been given a son in the comics, but that's still a side of him that we haven't seen enough of.
Excellent! I'm first, for once. And, this morning's cover has already given me an idea for a sequel. Kamala Khan becoming Plas' Offspring-in-law!
ReplyDeleteI think these two are both members of the Expansion Team, aren't they? (Or is Plas just an "honorary" member, overshadowed by Ralph?) It would make this a very logical pairing, as a part of the team's ongoing story.
ReplyDeleteOf the stretching heroes in comics, I think Plas is the most versatile, able to mimic various objects, while Kamala has the extra ability of enlarging her fists and other parts. Many of his abilities would be beyond her, but she might be able to team him a thing or two!
Neither are on the Expansion Team - That's Mr. Fantastic, Mr. Gum, Elongated Man and Elastigirl
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Expansion team needs .... an Expansion.
DeleteOK, my memory was completely off (even more than usual). I guess these are about the only two major stretchers not on that team.
DeleteSorry but i think this cover is a bit of a stretch !
ReplyDeleteGood one!!! :-)
DeleteHave you been reading Plastic Man No More? His role as a father is being revisited there!
ReplyDeleteSometimes she is drawn so she seems a bit older and Eel needs to be careful where he stretches or she will respond as if it was sexual harassment.
ReplyDeleteA situation from THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS! don't let Lucy and Charlie Brown see this. It'll give her ideas!
ReplyDelete"Wauuuuugh!"
Delete"Kamala Khan! Kamala Khan!
ReplyDeleteKamala Khan, let me stretch. Let me stretch with you.
Come on, Kamala Khan! That's all I wanna do."
This small bit of cultural misappropriation brought to you by Monty Python's Flying Circus. Always striving to present you with something completely different!
are you bringing a Khan-ival here ith those slides?
ReplyDeleteOnly if it's a winter carnival with slides like the one X-man Robert Drake used to cryokinetically form: Bob-slides!
Deletewill that make it a Khan-ival ride on the slides?
ReplyDeleteOne more slippery than an Eel! ;-)
