We've seen stories where Hex moves ahead in time, but I like it when heroes from the future come back to visit him as well. I remember really liking the two part story in Justice League of America #198-199, where the leaguers met a bunch of DC's Western heroes. I would be cool to see the Avengers do the same.
it’s a grand time, i do wonder if the west coast Avengers have the Two Gun Kid with them, ( just incase they end up in court ) some of Jonah’s stories could get very Dark…. murder and Magic Mysteries !
ReplyDeleteI think they already did, Ross. See West Coast Avengers v. 1/#'s 18-20 (1985).
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the Two-Gun Kid meet the Six-gun Gorilla!
ReplyDeleteAnon, I doubt they met the DC western heroes in those issues.
ReplyDeleteGood point! :-)
DeleteJust 15 issues until the issue 4600 spectacular!! A nice treat in between Halloween and Thanksgiving! :D
ReplyDeletehow do you tell when the story is really in the past and not on a parallel Earth?
ReplyDeleteMarvel's policy has always been that a parallel-Earth is created everytime someone from "the future" tries to change "the past".
DeleteThese 5 WC Avengers could make a great team-up with The Inferior 5 = Hawkeye & White Feather (archery), Wonder Man & Dumb Bunny (strength), Iron Man & Merriman (geniuses), Awkwardman & Tigra (agility extremes), Mockingbird & Blimp (near-sighted & obesity obstacles to everyday crimefighting). The Demolition Team would make an interesting group for them to fight.
ReplyDeleteOr, failing that, have Awkwardman and Tigra taking on Darkseid's Deep Six. His mother was an amphibious mermaid, remember. While Tigra (being a cat-person) is instinctively averse to water!
DeleteIf you could find a shot of JLU Western heros and combine it with Marvel Western heroes it would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteLots of great ideas in this section!
