Ant-Man and The Wasp received their Power Rings in STF #3993, and I thought it was time to send them on a mission. What better Green Lantern to join them than the diminutive yet daring Xax? Let's hope they can keep one step ahead of the ferocious feline Red Lantern!
I love it! Xax is the one GL who most closely resembles an actual green hornet. As for keeping "one step ahead of the ferocious" Dex-Star? Scott Lang might literally have Hope on his side. But, it wouldn't hurt to have a slight edge in the form of Melmac's favorite son. The ailurophagic Gordon "ALF" Shumway!
ReplyDeleteI mean it! Just picture him taking the GL oath:
ReplyDelete"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No cat escapes my appetite.
The more they hiss and scratch and bite?
The more they taste...just right. Hah!"
Maybe ALF could go to Springfield, Ohio.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea! That way Ross could entitle it: "Snowball's Chance."
DeleteWhile I like the idea of ALF vs Dex-Starr, I think it might also be interesting to have a cover featuring Dex-Starr with Dexter (from the eponymous Showtime series -- though the Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory might be interesting as well).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the title.
PS: I have no idea why this suddenly came to mind at this moment, but I'm still yearning for a cover with Teenage Negasonic Warhead vs The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight. (Maybe as an April Fool's cover.)
Ross' or mine? ;-)
Delete@Cary: Ross' title.
DeleteRats!
DeleteMROWR!
No, no, no, Dex-Star! That wasn't a call to dinnarrrrrrrgh!
I love the Artwork in this one !
ReplyDeleteit does appear to have the feel of the Lantern Books,
though the mission is going to have problems - Dex-Starr is not going to let his new toys get away…
Like they're going to give him any legit say in the matter (lol)!
DeleteXax will stay 2 jumps ahead of that furball with a bad hang nail problem. Just wait till After Midnight, Dr Spectrum will be making a guest 'SHOT'!!
