Spidey and Robin have had a bit of history on the blog - They first met back in my B&B: The Lost Issues days... They used the Spider-Signal in STF #2417... Batgirl joined them for an adventure in STF #938... They met when Dick Grayson became Nightwing in STF #87... and Spidey even helped train Tim Drake to take over the Robin role in STF #838... they met when Robin was in the original Teen Titans in STF #619... and again in the New Teen Titans in STF #767... not to mention when their successors met up in STF#529 and continued their adventure in STF #530... and they aren't done yet! Be sure to catch the exciting conclusion to this tale tomorrow!

Spider-Man and Robin (Part One)
It occurs to me that Spidey spends more time upside-down than Man-Bat.
ReplyDeleteBut that's OK. Going through Man-Bat's tag, I see that he's spent more time fighting Spidey's foes.
(The two have met twice on this blog so far; I'd kind of like to see that revisited some time, addressing one or both of the above. You know, just for giggles.)
PS: If I was reading this off the stands, I'd wonder if that cat by Robin's left foot was some kind of clue about Selina Kyle or Felicia Hardy. But here, I suspect that the cat is just a cat. (And that's another pair who have met a couple of times and might be interesting to see again.)
While these two are good for the better interdimension adventure, I think you owe it to your readers Ross to have a team up between the originals: Robin and Spider-Ham! just saying.. Should be more exciting than Howard the Duck & Batman.
ReplyDeleteWhile you already have the 2019 Halloween issue done, for 2020, how about Addams Family's Morticia Addams and The Munsters' Lily Munster?

No, no, Spider-Ham's team-up should be with 'Boyd, the Robin Wonder'!
@Simreeve, that would be in part 2. It will probably be a 3 part adventure.
ReplyDeleteOr, the next one could be Nicholas Hammond and Burt Ward!
ReplyDeleteI second this suggestion.
DeleteRich "The Swash" Buckler! Now, there's a wonderfully nostalgic name.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting some of his art work, Ross. :-)
Ross, time for the old switcheroo. Grayson gets JJJ while Parker gets Damian Wayne.
ReplyDeleteMay Heaven have mercy on their souls.
Damian Wayne and Spider-Ham. :o
ReplyDeleteBat-Cow and Spider-Ham :o
ReplyDelete(in the immortal words of Curly Howard)...I thoid it! Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!
ReplyDelete@det_Tobor and Simreeve: split the difference. Howard the Duck meets Darkwing Duck!
