Thank you to Yuri Volte, a patron of this blog, for suggesting this long overdue team-up! Deadman met Wolverine with the rest of the X-Men in STF #1991, but I've never featured a cover with just the two of them. There's definitely story potential here.

There's story potential in all the one-on-one team-ups you're recommended, Ross! But, it's understandable that some of the characters occasionally mentioned might be so obscure that there are almost no usable images of them on the Internet, whatsoever. Golden Age jungle heroine Marga the Panther Woman, for example. Even Timely/Atlas' Jann of the Jungle probably has more abundant image captures than her!
ReplyDeleteWith regard to this morning's cover? I can only speculate that the rest of the Roustabouts are in dire trouble and need an extra pair of hands to extract them. And, as a New Englander, I love the title!
I've had the thought before of how amazing it'll be if he ever uses #711 of Quality Comics in one of his creations! That'll be the day…
DeleteMaybe you'll just have to wait for STF #5711.
Delete@Ross: is this a sequel to STF #4630 from Xmas time 2024?
ReplyDelete"Sure. Why not?"
DeleteThese fly-by possessions are getting out of hand!! Astral police report fourth this month so far!! Dr StrangeFate has been sought for questioning!
ReplyDeleteBut, when Doc Doom does it (Ovoid-style), he has diplomatic immunity.
DeleteTruly inspired title!
ReplyDeletePoints for the title alone.
ReplyDeleteThey're costumes look good together on page! Probably not Wolverine's favorite predicament to be in, but preferable to being possessed by a villain like Ogun or Malice.
ReplyDeleteCould Deadman do his acrobatic tricks in Logan's body, or would the heavy metal skeleton have him falling on his face. Good thing his body can take a few bumps and bruises though!
I like to think that Logan's muscle memory would compensate for any initial awkwardness.
Delete@Carycomic Yeah, Logan's body should be used to his own weight, and he has shown his own acrobatic skills plenty. The height difference might lead to a poor landing or two though 😂
DeleteThough never canonically depicted, I'm pretty sure that Deadman could alter his metaphysical energy field to fit whatever height his latest physical host body happened to be.
DeleteI'm not even a New Englander, and I love the title.
ReplyDeleteBut speaking of bodies that can take some damage, how about pitting the Punisher against Vandal Savage?
Why not? They both have the same taste in black-and-white clothing.
DeleteOf course, mutual taste in clothing coloration once led to a feud between Luthor and the Green Goblin!
DeleteSee STF #2537 @ March 2019.
DeleteHow does Logan manage to have claws that are longer than his forearms? Are they somehow telescopic?
