I remember buying one of the issues of the original run (mid-1980's) as I had never heard of Capt. Canuck before. Not in NW Connecticut, anyway. It was an interesting premise! Then-near future Canada having become sort of an Orwellian dystopia. A nuclear super-power rife with organized crime and corruption, necessitating the rise of an extra-legal individual to battle both.
I think Alpha Flight would've gotten along quite well with the good captain. Especially as his costume seems to have been the inspiration for the Guardian/Vindicator suit!
Is this the first STF rhyming partnership?
ReplyDeleteI suspect Etrigan the Demon is pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Finally the return of Captain Canuck to STF. Great image! Now how about another appearance by The Human and The Human Target? Maybe together?
ReplyDelete@Wolfhammer: Human Robot? Human Torch? Human Bomb?
ReplyDeleteI saw a couple of the Captain's title, he had some great potentials. Might be interesting to see him with Cap & Batman vs Taskmaster? Or Amazo?
ReplyDeleteI meant to say The Human Fly and The Human Target, but other humans are welcome as well. LOL!
