This marks the sixth appearance of The Strange Brothers. They were last seen escaping Hell in STF #3163, they faced their wicked uncle in STF #2801, They were forced to do penance in STF #2649, they were trying to escape from Limbo in STF #2146, and they were first revealed to be brothers in STF #370...
yes, yes, YES!! Fun exists where you make it Ross, and this is great.
ReplyDeleteRoss!
ReplyDeletewhere did you get the background image from ? i really want to track down that real comic to read it !
@Chris Elliott: well, I could be wrong. But, at least one of those cars behind that dinosaur resembles a Cadillac. ;-D
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade: you requested (back @ STF #3163) that Ross have their next landing site be non-mystical-yet-still interesting. I hope you regard your wish as granted. :-)
ReplyDeleteChris, It's from a painting by artist Michael Kerbow.

ReplyDeleteOh man! Here's another family connection I've overlooked. Maybe they've been on a quest to find their long lost parents. Having Hugo Strange as their demonic uncle was a great twist. It's a big stretch, but maybe Nick Fury and Adam Warlock are also distant cousins, from the old Strange Tales. For now, it looks like they'll have to grab some McRibs from RockDonald's.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blending of images, Ross. I could see this as an actual cover.
ReplyDeleteAnd I still think that the Strange Brothers need their own logo (as do the Danvers Twins and the Power Couple).
@Cary: Yup. This is a bullseye in that regard.
@Ken Roskos: Brontoburgers, anyone? :-)
ReplyDeletethis is my Favourite cover so far this year, the balance of characters and Artwork is excellent…
ReplyDeleteand thankfully no Flintstones or similar people…. but we could see an appearance of the Warlord….
Look forward to this everyday! How about a team up of those two master smugglers Han Solo and Malcom Reynolds (as they get caught between The Empire and The Alliance).
ReplyDeleteShameless digression: how about a cover devoted to the Inferior Five for April Fools Day?
ReplyDelete...or at least a team-up between Awkwardman and the Tick. (The two have so much in common!)
ReplyDeleteOr, failing that, the latter's sidekick teaming up with Aquaman and the ruler of Camelot 3K. That way, Ross could pose the question...
ReplyDelete"Arthur Any More Suggestions?"
GROAN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGiven that the three suggested heroes are from different points in time, they could be brought together to prevent the Time Trapper from assassinating the 21st President of the United States.
ReplyDeleteIn the immortal words of a now-defunct beer brand: "Brilliant!"
ReplyDelete:-)
