Hopefully we'll be seeing a full trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soon. The teaser trailer was impressive, and I am ready to see more. I'm still not sold on the new look for Namor, but if his attitude and motivations are comics accurate, I will be happy. Will we Shuri or M'Baku suited up - not to mention Ironheart? I have a feeling most of those big reveals will be kept to the actual moviegoing experience - as they probably should be.
No "probably" about it, as far as I'm concerned. As for the alterations to Namor's look? No doubt done to preemptively appease those who would disapprove of him wearing green speedos for the whole film.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the King under that has so much concern going on.
ReplyDeleteGreat cover. The art blend nicely. Is that a Tim Sale Deadman?
ReplyDeleteThe Namor changes didn't look too drastic longer shorts mostly.
I'm excited that we're closer to seeing my fave era of Avengers with introduction of Starfox, Hercules, and Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel.
Deadman is by Dave Bullock
ReplyDeleteAt one of the cosplay panels at ECCC this weekend, a panelist said, "as along as it reads as that character, it's a successful cosplay." If the MCU Namor's appearance, personality, and story are close enough that I could tell that that's who it's supposed to be without being told, then it's Namor. Whether any changes are acceptable depend on the reasons behind them.
ReplyDelete@Det. Tobor: maybe the Man-Beast has hyper-evolved a real black leopard, to pose as an avatar of the Wakandan Panther God, as part of some convoluted attempt to get a sample of vibranium for some nefarious purpose.
ReplyDeleteEither that, or the mutated son of the Atomic Skull and Felicia the Panther Woman!
