Pinky & the Brain and Mighty Mouse

There were no shortage of cartoon mice characters when Pinky & The Brain made their debut, but they found a way to stand out from the pack.  Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulson gave the characters distinct and iconic voices to go along with their cleverly written adventures. I'm a little surprised that we've never seen a revival in the past couple of decades. EDIT - Sounds like they came back on Hulu - I'll have to check it out!

  3. "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"

"I think so, Brain--but I don't really think the 1960s BATMAN and the original STAR TREK would have been better if Adam West and William Shatner had swapped roles."

  4. "No problem Pinky. I have created reconstituted butter, just add water, For such an occasion.".

  5. "No, Pinky! I was pondering why it took so long for Mr. Greenwade's suggestion to be acted upon."

"Which suggestion might that be, Brain? He's made so many! Good ones, too. But, I don't Mr. Ross has had an equivalent number of images to go along with 'em!"

"An uncharacteristically astute observation, Pinky. Which makes wonder if you might really be..."

    WHOOSH!

    "BA-GOCK!"

"...Chicken Boo in disguise. Just as I thought."

  6. At WSSC this past weekend, I got to chat briefly with Maurice and Rob. Both are pretty great guys.

@Cary: Actually, of my several suggestions involving these two, this was not one of them. But I'm glad to finally see them appear here.

Re: Chicken Boo, I think it'd be great to find his face under Iron Man's helmet.

  9. There was a time Marvel had the rights to Mighty Mouse...and we didn't get a Spider-Ham crossover! I still feel ripped off.

  10. If you're referring to the spin-off of the Ralph Bakshi/Terrytoon series from 1990, the Glove probably had a hand in that non-happening.

  11. @Other Bob: I saw that one when it came out. Egad, Scott -- brilliant! (And it ends with the most epic "Narf!" ever.)

  12. And... if Pinky went over to the Dark Side, would he become...
    Narf Vader?
