Deadpool is The Flash

It sounds like we may hear more about Deadpool  3 finally getting underway.  A director has been chosen in Shawn Levy, who also helmed Free Guy and The Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds.  I thought that both of those films had their moments, but were just OK, so I'm on the fence about that choice.  Still, it will be a blast to see the self aware character react to switching to another universe and movie studio.

Deadpool and The Flash had an epic race in STF #2804...

  1. How do you come up with brilliant gems?! I've occasionally suggested a team-up between Deadpool and Elongated Man because of their identically colored costumes. But, this one is even better because I've already thought of a premise for it. It's a pre-wedding gift from a Golden Age public domain super-villainess who's finally ended her millenia-long search for a worthy king consort. The Sorceress of Zoom!

Maybe Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson could team up to a do a made-for-Ross-verse sequel called...

    ... "The Black Adam Project!"

  2. Re: "...to a do a..."

That's what happens when I type a long-winded comment before I've had my morning caffeine fix. I start talking like my late Italian grandmother (God bless her)!

  3. @Cary: wouldn't it be more fitting for the super-speed to have been given to him, by Thanos' ex-girlfriend, as part of a promotion to... Red-and-Black Racer?

  4. @Ross: By the same token, a photo-capture teaming of Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson should be entitled "The Red-and-Black Adam Project."

  5. Cary and our anonymous poster have pretty much left me speechless. I have only one word to add, at least for now:

    FLASHPOOL!

  6. That was Deadpool's single complaint...No matter how much was supposed to be in the speed force, it seemed like nothing for him to Wade thru.

  7. Hey, if Access were to Amalgamate Deadpool with My Hero Academia's pro hero Best Jeanist, the resulting hero could be called Jeanpool!

  8. Whoa! Cool! The Flash's Rogue Gallery will never know what hit them!

Hey B Greenwade. Opinion of Will Smith on Oscars night event?

And don't forget the Wading pool for newbies. Be interesting if he gets an imp too like Barry did.

  11. HHH: Since you asked... per policy, he should've been escorted out of the building. There's talk of the Academy suspending or expelling him, and I'd lean toward the former. He has publicly apologized to Chris, and acknowledged that he was out of line, and while Chris is right in expecting some words said directly, he should get mercy, but at the same time there should definitely be consequences.

There are some who says he's a hero for defending his wife, and others who say he's a monster. I say they're both wrong: he's a human being just as flawed as the rest of us. For someone to take a public stand and say, "What I did was wrong," is worthy of respect.

Of course, we can expect that Warner Brothers will be either silent, or making all sorts of excuses. They may even make a point of asking him to return for the next Suicide Squad movie.

  12. @Bob Greenwade: Having seen his portrayal of Deadshot in the first two, I'd have to say that's punishment enough in itself.

  13. Is there a difference tween what Smith did on stage and road rage?

  14. Aside from the obvious one (Smith was a pedestrian, at the time), I'd have to say no.

  15. I'm with Cary on that. Will's action had no danger of seriously hurting anyone, but in principle it's basically the same.

  16. Just one question: was Deadpool hired to get back Johnny Quick's stolen formula from Calvin and Hobbes?
