It's been cool to see the expansion of some Star Wars locations, first on The Mandalorian, and now on The Book of Boba Fett. It's been cool to hear the history of Tatooine (once a water planet?) and see the interactions of the different tribes and factions that call it their home. I look forward to finding out if Fett can tame his territory through respect rather than fear as those before him have.
Now that Disney owns both the Marvel and Star Wars franchises, this one could happen rather easily.

ReplyDeleteBy the same token, Ross; since Luke, Leia, and Starlord are technically all Marvel characters, shouldn't they have been balanced out with a DC (or even some indie-pub) character? As per your usual preference?

ReplyDeleteI think we can also look forward to seeing some expansions of established Star Wars locales on Ahsoka, The Bad Batch, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and other upcoming series. The movies have given us great breadth; the series are giving us more depth.
ReplyDeleteNow, speaking of photo-capture covers, I think we could get one with Sophia Di Martino and Ezra Miller as the two individuals who screwed up their respective multiverses: Sylvie and the Flash?
I do favor the GL/Deadpool pairing, though, whether it's done photo or comic. It's much the same reason as I yearn for a Jim Gordon/J. Jonah Jameson pairing (well, plus it'd be a decent reason to bring back the Spidey-Signal!).
Here's another fun possibility (maybe for April Fool's Day): Pinky and Zoot.
Or how about Pinky and the Brain...and the Brain? ;)

ReplyDeleteIs that an uncredited Pat Broderick StarLord figure? I remember Micheal Golden and Broderick both had early work at Marvel handling the art on Micronauts vol 1.
ReplyDeleteBoth awesome artists, of course, but that firrst issue of Micronauts was clearly rushed out, Golden's usually outstanding work was very shaky there.
It could be worse, Rune. "The Micronauts" could've been done by the two Franks (Robbins and Springer). And, if you had perused some of their artwork in issues of Detective Comics, back in the 1970's, you would've thought the Batman was actually the Scarecrow in Bat-guise!
