There had been some talk about Arnold Schwarzenegger returning for another Conan movie, but I haven't heard anything about that in a while. Perhaps Arnold is having second thoughts after his return to the Terminator franchise met with less than optimal results. Maybe they are still trying to figure out the best way to present the story of a seventy-something barbarian. It will be interesting to see if anything comes of these plans.
Demon talking about the virus in symbolism? Good choice.
ReplyDelete@Horsefeathers: Either that, or he's referring to Lin Carter's impersonation of Crom.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though: if Arnold does do another CTB sequel, maybe they (Hollywood) could adapt REH's first big Conan story. The one where he was already a long-time king of Aquilonia. And he and his son, Prince Conn, had to team up against some kind of unholy conspiracy!
As Etrigan, himself, might say:
ReplyDelete"Bring back the original barbaric Conan.
Begone the one who went on to play Aquaman!"
HAPPIEST OF NEW YEARS!
ReplyDeleteArnold Schwarzenegger King Conan movie is officially dead.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Aquaman: the only thing I truly regret about the passing of 2020 is that we still don't have an undersea colony at the base of Challenger Seamount in the South Pacific!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2021, yawl! :-)
@Scottie: Ya mean, he does nay have the drawing-power?
ReplyDelete@Anon@8:24: Now I have an image in my head of Montgomery Scott visiting F Troop, telling the captain, "The men seem to be holding up well... but I don't think the Injuns can take much more of this!"
ReplyDeleteHow the Hekawi getting away with all these puns? ;-)
ReplyDeleteIs there going to be a pair up with an ancient armored Conan and Xena?
ReplyDeleteWhy not? If Wonder Woman can do it, so can the Warrior Princess!
ReplyDeleteLatest news I have heard:

I think King Conan is possible if the right director was interested. I also liked the Jason Momoa Conan. There was a "King Conan and son' script going around but I cannot see Jason Momoa playing the son even if he got most of the playing time.
This reminds me. How about a photo-cover featuring Indiana Jones and Peter O'Toole as Lawrence of Arabia?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: Please, NO!
ReplyDeleteI feel you've outdone yourself with this one. A masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteWith OG flared nostril Conan and all
