I am glad that Marvel is going ahead with a third outing for Ant-Man in the movies. Rumors are swirling about what will be included. The most plausible one is having his daughter Cassie join in on the heroics as Stature, paving the way for the New Avengers. I've also read speculation that the microverse will be used to bring the Fantastic Four into the MCU. I have a feeling that wherever it goes, the movie is going to be jam packed and probably larger in scale than the first two installments in the series.
Swampy's looking at that ant, and probably thinking that Arcane has been up to some new tricks. He's probably right -- just not in the way he's thinking! This certainly hints at an interesting story inside the comic.
ReplyDeleteI'm among those rooting for Cassie to become Stature in the third Ant-Man film (some are even calling it Ant-Man, the Wasp, and Stature), but I'm also hoping to see Abby Ryder Forster return to the role. I have nothing against Emma Fuhrmann, but her playing the character in Avengers: Endgame was a necessity born of the five-year time-jump in that movie. Abby so perfected the character -- and at a surprisingly young age -- that it's really hers, and she'll be old enough to return to it by the time the third Ant-Man film starts production.
Being a big time fan of the Man in the Ant Hill, I love seeing the original back in action. If he had stayed as Ant-Man, I wonder if they could have found more to do with him and the Pym particles.
ReplyDeleteSo why not request Ant Man & the Ant hill mob from Wacky Races!
DeleteMan, don't you hate it when your pet puts strange things in their and then you have to try and get it away from them?
ReplyDeleteGreat cover though.
One can only hope, Ross.
ReplyDeleteAs for today's cover? I have to wonder if the Swamp Thing fell victim to a certain alien spaceship's white dwarf-powered engines while visiting the Parliament of Trees?*
*Holy Sword of the Atom, Batman!
Unlike most anybody else, Swampy has nothing to worry about. Just grow a new body & transfer consciousness. His specialty. O, Henry, what is your ant going to do with a smart Alec?
ReplyDelete@Horsefeathers: Act like a joyous almond, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteAnt-Cid Trip!
