It looks like Disney pulled a fast one and James Gunn was never really removed from directing Duties on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so his plans to close out the trilogy will be realized. He has said before that the plot will revolve around Gamora, which raises some interesting questions given the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Will the story be about mourning her loss, or is this an indication that she will somehow return in Avengers: Endgame?
I'll wildly guess that it will be revealed that she's really the anorexic daughter of Bruce Banner and Betty Ross! Kidnapped from 20 years in the future and raised to believe Thanos was her old man.
ReplyDelete"Gauntlets?!"
ReplyDeleteShades of Booster Gold!
I think it's a hint that everything (or nearly everything) that Thanos did will be undone.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bob Greenwade.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I enjoyed most of Avengers: Infinity War, I felt somewhat let down by the ending because I knew that characters like Spider-Man were not really dead. I guess that when I pay ten-plus dollars to see a movie I expect to see a story with a beginning, middle and end and not "to be continued". I hope that the big payoff in Avengers: Endgame is worth it. I have to admit that seeing Captain Marvel really reignited my enthusiasm for the MCU Phase 3 wrap up. But if they aren't careful about how they undue the Finger Snap of Doom (in other words they better do it in spectacular and mind-blowing fashion) I might not be following them into Phase 4.
Now this is the Star-Lord I always loved. The one that wasn’t set in the Marvel Universe.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to call the upcoming Avengers film Avengers: Endgame. I call it Avengers: Nobody Really Died... Yet.
ReplyDeleteI always loved that particular Star-Lord costume far more than the newer casual space fatigues plus breath helmet thing he has now.
ReplyDeleteThe classic suit just looks like a STAR-LORD.
Can't say I blame him I'd revolve around Gamora too. VA-VA-VA-VooM!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous253: When you have that many characters interacting in that epic a storyline, it kind of literally goes without saying that it'll have to be continued. Even with a three hour-running time for part one!
ReplyDeleteP.S. @ Anonymous253: Hopefully, you found the three hours/one minute-running time of "Avengers: Endgame" a lot less tedious. I know I did!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a perfect 10. :-)
