I am surprised we have not seen more footage from
Black Panther. Lots of photos of the characters have been floating around, but no sign of a full length trailer yet. I suppose that Marvel wants to get past the release of
Thor: Ragnarok before they swinh into full
Black Panther publicity mode. With the film opening in early February, I am sure they hype will begin sometime soon.
Although, it is kind of odd that Marvel/Disney has not been hyping this film more. Considering most movies today are hyped decades in advance of release... ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never known trailers to be shown in movie theaters prior six months before a film's actual release, at the earliest. And, even then, some movie theaters have the annoying habit of showing the trailers without ever renting a print of the flick in question!*
ReplyDeleteI would hazard to guess that Marvel Films will start showing BP previews during the first two weeks of TR's national release.
As to this morning's cover? Ah! if only this could occur in the real world. I mean, if DC can have Harley Quinn meet up with Betty and Veronica, ANYTHING should be possible.
*Which, to me, is undeniably false advertising.
Have you done Doctor Who and the Legion of Super-Heroes?
ReplyDeleteYou should do Fox and the Crow.
ReplyDeleteHoy
I did, just click on the label for either character to find it.
ReplyDeleteWell, since you already did the Fox and Crow, how about Peter Parker possibly crossing paths with Paul Patton?
ReplyDeletePurely Preposterous!
ReplyDelete@Ross: Premature presumption. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnother great cover!
ReplyDeleteCary, don't blame the theatres. As an ex movie theatre manager, I can attest that most theatres nowadays are run by large groups and they send out the trailers that the theatres are required to run. (The studios have paid for that "space.") Managers have very little, if any, control over what trailers they run. It's as frustrating to them as it is to the customer to advertise a film that they know they'll likely not be running.
peter parker punched a pilfering punk.....POW!!!!!....lol
ReplyDelete@Anonymous #1: Puerile propaganda!
ReplyDeletecary comic.....lol : )....back at ya'....lol
ReplyDeleteHey Ross, what about the Black Panther and the Pink Panther??
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps Squirrel Girl and Rocky and Bullwinkle???
DC's Atom and Atom Ant and Ant Man??
And maybe even the singer Adam Ant!!
Atom Has met both
ReplyDeleteSquirrel Girl/R&B already on here at well
@Ross & Jack-El: I guess that just leaves a meeting between the Pink Panther and T'Challa.
ReplyDelete@Anon above: Or, best yet? Peter Parker, Paul Patton, and the Pink Panther!
