The Alien saga is set to continue with the upcoming Alien: Covenant. I thought that Prometheus was a mixed bag, but I did like where the film left off , so I think this sequel/prequel still has a chance to be pretty cool. Ridley Scott has assembled an impressive cast and he always provides stunning visuals. Rumor has it this film will relate a lot closer to the original movie.
Is it right for me to feel sorry for the alien?
ReplyDeleteTotally. That xenomorph doesn't stand a chance.
DeleteSonofjack: In this case, no.
ReplyDeleteYou know, there's a movie which is real close to the original movie Alien. It's called Alien, and Ridley Scott already made it. Why do it again?
ReplyDeleteDark Horse really a Conan/Aliens or maybe Conan/Predator
ReplyDelete@Ross: For a second, I thought you meant that red-haired guy with the late-night talk show.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see I was wrong. ;-)
@Anonymous: LOL!
ReplyDelete@Simreeve & Bob Greenwade (re: yesterday's issue)---The Dark Circle of the 30th century was first encountered by the LSH in Adventure Comics v.1/#367 (Apr. 1, 1968). The Dark Circle of the 20th century was first encountered, by that name, in THE PHANTOM STRANGER v.1/#21 (Oct. 1, 1972). It's also that latter issue that first revealed Tanarak and Tala to be on-again/off-again allies against TPS.
WHOA!! **NEVER** saw this crossover coming, complete surprise (which is awesome) I would buy this comic (damn facehuggers...)
ReplyDeleteHmmm! I wonder if this xenomorph came to pre-Hyborian Earth with one of those space elephants, the Yag-Khorash?
ReplyDelete@Anon: I think you mean, the Yag-Kosah.
ReplyDeleteI wan to see more of the universe of Prometheus-I liked that movie, and have it on Blu-Ray (and I still watch it periodically.)
ReplyDeleteThese a great review and defense of Prometheus that you should be reading: http://reflectionsonfilmandtelevision.blogspot.ca/2012/06/death-by-thousand-nitpicks-prometheus.html
As for this? The alien will kill Conan just by spurting its acid blood all over him in the act of Conan cutting off its head.
How about Blade Runner vs. Alien?
ReplyDelete@Lionel: not if he's still pre-destined "to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow" and this chronologically occurs before then.
ReplyDelete@Cambias: because the cash-cow is not yet milked 100% dry. That's why!
ReplyDeleteYou know what totally needs to be done? Xena vs. Xenomorph.
ReplyDeleteplease, take my money
DeleteI have been looking for this comic for years since spotting it on a google image search. Devistated to find out it never was more then a cover, but love your work!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dan! Sorry it's not real!
ReplyDeleteWhat? The story never happened? As a diehard Conan collector, I was ready to search for that issue. But it's just as well it's not real as it would be very difficult to find.
