We now know a little about the next Spider-Man movie. It will be titled Spider-Man: Homecoming and will feature at least one more Marvel hero in addition to the web-slinger. The Vulture has been rumored as a villain - and Michael Keaton is in talks to portray the main antagonist. I am looking forward to Tom Holland's debut as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War. I recently watched him in In The Heart Of The Sea, and I am confident he will do well in the role.
Longtime readers know that in the above cover, Ted Kord is referring back to his first meeting with Spider-Man on this blog...
Spidey has also met the Dan Garrett and Jaime Reyes Blue Beetles on previous covers...
Funny. In the current run, Spidey's doing Ted's thing; CEO by day, international superhero by night.
ReplyDeleteYou've been killin' it this week, Ross!
ReplyDeleteGreat cover! But I have to tell you, I hate that Spider-Man logo. I mean, it is of course your choice... just letting you know that I don't think that Spidey should be a scary character.
ReplyDeleteNow, my opinion and 75 cents should get you a can of soda, so... :) Loving the covers!
Let's hope they make another good SPIDER-MAN film. The last 3 were pretty disappointing even though it was good to finally see The LIZARD in the 2012 film.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for The VULTURE making his debut, but wouldn't John Malkovich be a better choice to play him?
I'm for the Bug-jacking "Spidey," in the previous team-up, having been a shapeshifting Skrull mercenary working for the Spider Guild of the Vega star system.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever considered creating a team made up of Spider-Man (Marvel), Blue Beetle (Charlton), the Creeper (DC), Missing Man (Eclipse) and Mr. A (various independent comics) and calling them Ditko's Do-Gooders? (Okay, maybe that team name needs a little work....)
ReplyDeleteAccording to a 'DC Preview' publication, there's a new 'Blue Beetle' series coming this summer: Jaime's still the Beetle, but Ted will be appearing in it as well...
ReplyDelete@Simreeve: But, will he be a clone of Ted; or another past-self rescued, via time travel, days before his JLI-era murder?
ReplyDeletePerhaps Spider-Man should point out that Ted stole his style?
