When Tony Isabella, comic legend and creator of Black Lightning among others, suggested this team-up, I had to smack my head because I had never thought of it! Every incarnation of the Secret Six took orders from a mysterious figure known only as Mockingbird after all... It's a natural! I have been enjoying seeing Mockingbird in live action on
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and with word of a spin-off, it looks like we will be seeing even more of her. Perhaps if the
Suicide Squad film is a big hit, we will see the Secret Six hit the silver screen as well one of these days.

ReplyDeleteVery clever.
ReplyDeleteThe combination of these images is seamless. Looks PERFECT!
ReplyDeleteAnd to have it suggested by a great comics pro too--that's amazing!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea. I only wish it had been the original Secret Six. I'm a huge fan of Silver Age S6; not so much of any of the post-Crisis incarnations.
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys!
ReplyDeleteLet me add my own humble accolades. The only way you could possibly top this example of superb-ness is to have Spidey meet ABC's Cobweb!
ReplyDeletePerfect! and Morse Code from Mockingbird's alias... Bobbi Morse...nice touch!

...Oh, please — that guy is such a crackpot!
@ Bygrinstow:
ReplyDeleteTake credit where credit is due you, dude. ;-)
Haha, what a great combo. I'm sorry I sold my 60s-era Secret Six issues now...and the Action Comics Weekly series that attempted to solve the secret of "Who Is Mockingbird"?
ReplyDeleteAdapting the 60s series to even a limited-run TV series would be a great idea IMO.
@Ulf: you're more likely to see a WHAT IF...? animated version of the Silver Age GOTG (31st century setting and all).
