Pietro Maximoff has a decidedly different personality than Barry Allen or Wally West. It would be interesting to watch the interaction between him and the Flash Rogues. There seems to be at least some respect between them and their usual speedsters, and I's like to see them go a few rounds with the ill-tempered mutant.
Great cover! I wish I could read this story; the Rogues might not see him coming. Love your blog, your posts are a highlight of my day!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteI have a sneaking feeling that the Rogues are planning on recruiting him...
ReplyDeleteTake my money now please!
ReplyDeleteA tad overcrowded. But, aside from the obvious (aka most frequently fought) Rogues, I can make out the Trickster, the Golden Glider (whose outfit, here, makes her look more like a color-swapped Nightshade) and Abra Kadabra of the 64th century. I just can't make out the two hiding behind him, though.
ReplyDeleteHeat Wave and Mirror Master
DeleteHow about Larryboy and Captain Caveman; their alter-egos work as janitors in a newspaper building.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think Pietro would take most of them out pretty easily, just due to his lack of patience for their shenanigans. Of the Rogues shown here, I think only Grodd would be a problem for him.
ReplyDeleteWell, he might not have a problem taking them out. But, would he send them flowers and candy, first?
DeleteCan't be Heat Wave behind Abra because that's Heat Wave behind Grodd's paw in the center of the cover.
ReplyDeletetry mirror master in the rear
ReplyDeleteWell, the two of you are right about Mirror Master. But, Heat Wave is actually in between GG, Capt. Cold, and the Top!
Delete@Both Anons: I think that's Prof. Zoom to Mirror Master's right.
DeleteNah, from the little I can see, I'm pretty sure it's the Rainbow Raider.
Delete"By George! I think you've got it."
ReplyDeletei think George may be in tomorrow..
Deletea 60¢ book today...a mini adventure! Done by a speedster! PERFECT!!
ReplyDeleteIn the Justice League/Avengers crossover event, Pietro showed a great interest in Barry's use of the Speed Force, and some respect (possibly a residual memory from the Marvel vs DC event). I suspect he'd give grief to any Rogue who bad-mouthed the Flash.
ReplyDeleteHe may be not as fast as the Flash, but I think that his approach to things would drive these guys nuts.
PS: If you guys are talking about who's crouched down in the lower right corner, I'm pretty sure that's Trickster.
@Bob Greenwade: I was talking about who's at the lower-most left behind Abra's cape.
Delete@Det. Tobor: hey! That's one duo Ross hasn't done, yet. Detective Chimp and Curious George! Tobor, you're a genius. :-)
I was going to ask who was behind Abra too & the closet I can come up with is Prof. Zoom although that guess is a bit of a stretch.
ReplyDeleteNaw! That would be the Molder (aka the briefly vilified Elongated Man).
