Hal Jordan met the Richard Ryder Nova way back in STF #121, and I thought it was time that he met the Franke Raye version. I wonder how close the Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer from the upcoming Fantastic Four movie will be visually to this iteration of the Galcatus Herald.
Well, this is just a wild guess, on my part, of course. But, I'd say she'll look more silvery than Frankie Raye...and look like she's riding a surfboard!
ReplyDeleteAn awesome pairing, Ross! I can see it now. Sinestro tries to recruit this Nova into his Yellow Lantern Corps...and it backfires on him.
ReplyDeleteSugar and Spike meet Calvin and Hobbes, maybe? Or even them meeting Howard the Duck? I don't know, but Sugar and Spike seems like such a charming comic, and they deserve more features on here.
ReplyDeleteAlso: has Howard the Duck met the Inferior Five yet? If not, that should happen. Two humour comics in the superhero genre deserve a team-up.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the world or the jumanji cartoon and the dungeons and dragons cartoon could meet.
ReplyDelete@Cary: They're called the Sinestro Corps...because of course they are.
ReplyDeleteJumanji! Of course! Arcane drops the Terrifics into the game, and we have a cover!
ReplyDeleteNova has always been a favorite of mine. Love this cover!
ReplyDelete@Daviticus: Only Sinestro's butt-kissing subordinates call it the Sinestro Corps. To readers and enemies alike, "Yellow Lantern Corps" is more fitting.
ReplyDelete;-)
Mongal will have a way of dealing with the Green Lantern and his Ring,
ReplyDeleteas for Nova a truly powerful creature is the danger he cannot prepare for,
very interesting tale to be told…
2Shamus: how about Sugar & Spike meet the X-babies, instead?
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of Jumanji, I've proposed the idea before of Tarzan entering Jumanji. But D&D could work too, as could a number of things... if the big guy decides to ever use Jumanji, of course! Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteBTW, Jumanji: the Animated Series is VASTLY underrated!
Would Hal give Nova a ring ? Would Nova accept? The possibilities are endless. Could Nova teach Hal new ideas for energy use? Worth the cover price easily!!
ReplyDelete@Cary: If you say so...;)
ReplyDeleteNot just me. It's listed as such on the official DC Database under "a.k.a."!
ReplyDeleteWell, I think "Sinestro Corps" sounds better.
ReplyDeleteLet's just say it sounds more suitably sinister and leave it permanently at that. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis one could’ve been a “next generation” type team-up, with the Kyle Rayner GL teaming up with Frankie Raye’s Nova, where as the first team-up was with Hal Jordan GL and Richard Ryder Nova.
