The Vision and Sandman
Yesterday's cover may have also featured The Sandman and The Vision, but those are names that each belong to multiple characters. This would, I am sure, be a decidedly different tale.
well we know that they can cry ! it’s more interesting to wonder why Dream is involving himself with a non human entity, and is Lucifer behind the scenes…
Since a synthezoid is supposed to have some human elements to its data base, Sandman could be curious about the entity that he came across. Maybe even offer Vision dreams he could choose to have if he wanted. When someone is in their dream state, can Sandman enter the rest of their mind or at least read the rest of their mind? Very nice layout, Ross!
both Sandman and Vision covers were excellent and some of your best work.... a thought came to mind and after checking i see that you have never had Sandman (Dream of the Endless) ever meet Dreamer from the LoSH.... this could either be comic art or live action photo art cover.... or even do the whole Endless meeting other comic counterparts....
What does a synthezoid dream of? Synthetic sheep?
ReplyDeleteDOH! I was gonna say that. Thanks alot, namesake. :-(
ReplyDelete@ both Anons: Now, now, now! Play nice. I'm sure you weren't the only Bladerunner fans to think of that pun.
ReplyDelete@Ross: only Steve Ditko, himself, could have made Dream look more metaphysical. Bravo!

Nightmare would be a more fitting foe for both of them.
ReplyDelete@Anon & Simon: especially if such a cover was done as a sequel to STF #3821!
ReplyDeleteYesterday: The Vision!
ReplyDeleteToday: Double Vision!
Tomorrow: Astigmatism!
(With thanks to Groucho Marx.)
"You, sir, are making a spectacle of yourself. Indeed, if you had a twin brother, you'd be a pair of spectacles!"
ReplyDelete[With apologies to W.C. Fields.]
@Anon1159: "Dat's the most ridiculous ting I ever hoid (nyuk-nyuk-nyuk)!"
ReplyDelete---Curly Howard.

@Cary: That quote is another of Groucho's.

@Bob Greenwade: I know Groucho coined it. But, Curly of the 3 Stooges frequently paraphrased it---Cary.
ReplyDelete"Why, soitanly. Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!
