The Falcon and Robin in: "Where Goeth the Ghouls of Gotham!"

It looks like we'll have to wait a while longer to see Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson again.  Captain America: Brave New World has been pushed back a year for retooling.  Apparently test screenings did not go well and they are looking at reshoots.  The film sounded pretty stuffed, with The Leader, Red Hulk and The Sentry all rumored to be involved, so maybe it's a pacing issue that can be fixed with editing.

The Falcon and Robin previously had battled The Outsider together in STF #2180, Had an adventure with the original Teen Titans in STF #2743, and fought the hand after Dick Grayson became Nightwing in STF #2990.

NCIS opened a new branch in Sydney but still no blooming new big screen Robin. Shame that. Maybe he could team with the next Man of Steel on big silver. Falcon could even join them doing under cover work or even have them go after Black Cat and Catwoman with Magpie.

  2. The Ghouls of Gotham must be gamma-mutated fans of Mick Jagger. Out to suck his voice dry, for Catwoman, using those big lips!

  3. If so, I'll guess that the one tackling the Falcon is Chad while the one trying to intercept Robin is Jeremy.

  4. I always loved that Batman Family cover that Robin's pic came from. Nice one again, Ross.

  5. For some reason, these "Ghouls" look like they should be battled by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I doubt there are any other pics of them for that purpose, though.

About Captain America: Brave New World, I checked on Wikipedia and found that the problems with the original cut are such that extensive reshooting is called for.

PS: I hope we haven't seen the last of Iron Beetle. Or of Man-Bat vs the Lizard.

  6. Did Kirby do the ghouls and the Falcon? It looks like they're standing in the air.
Robin can jump buildings safewalls? interesting.
Marvel wanted to show they could do a more successful Supergirl than DC did, and it seems to be working. The Falcon seems a bit more limiting.

  7. Really, the Sentry? First I've heard of that! Wonder if he might be played by Brandon Routh?

  10. @Anon510: I can't say as I blame you. He's a Korean-American actor who's sadly most famous for appearing in NOPE. As in...

"Did you ever go to see Jordan Peele's 2022 sci-fi flop?"

    "Nope!"

    "Lucky you."

  11. @Carycomic: Steven Yuen might be more well known thanks to having many seasons of AMC’s The Walking Dead under his belt.

And voicing the superhero Invincible for Robert Kirkman’s Invincible show on Amazon Prime.

  13. @Bobbo: don't get Amazon Prime. Don't want it, either. And TWD's first season never grabbed my attention. I felt it plagiarized the feature film "28 Days Later" way too much!

This is Carycomic (not a robot).
