Supergirl and Captain Marvel (Vs. Hela!)

This cover marks the 15th appearance of The Danvers Twins.  I think that Bob Greenwade, a Patron of this Blog, has a good chance to win the movie role teased here - he's been suggesting a Benoist/Larson cover appearance for a while now.  Lets just hope The Danvers Twins movie fares better then The Marvels at the Box Office!

  2. Wouldn't trust such a bargain to be done without fine print and a bunch of whims.
Easy to say for "control over death" but aside from her power level, Hela is too human in behavior. Finally, what would she need the twins to do that she couldn't do herself??

Maybe she wants them to revenge her against Rogue and Power Girl. Or maybe she just needs help combing her hair?

  4. @Crazy Ivan: or maybe she's already planning to double-cross them by having Clayface pose as their parents! Using creme de profundis provided by Mysterio.*

@Ross: if it did, Bob would probably outdo Kamala Khan with the OMG's.**

*I've revised my theory concerning yesterday's cover.

    **Heaven--PLEASE--forbid!

  5. Hooray! Awesomely done, Ross!

I went and saw The Marvels when it opened, and I'd go see it again if I could. I put up my full review last Saturday, so right now I'll just say that the meager box office is a little surprising. It deserves to do better there.

@Cary: My exclamation du jour would be, "Holy cats!" Which, of course, would spark all manner of Flerken jokes.

  6. If Hela conspired with Pluto (alias Hades) to turn the self-proclaimed Lion of Olympus into a smaller breed of cat, would he be disparagingly re-named...Flerkules?

  7. @Anon1014: be still, my foolish stomach.

@Bob: see what you started, here?

  9. Nice cover; but I have to ask...Is the contest real? Like; someone wins and gets their picture put in an upcoming photo cover? If it is; consider this my entry!

  10. The Contest is just as real as the comic is. Which is to say not at all.

  12. @Jared: Even so, it'd be really wild if Ross were to take one of my cosplay photos and insert it into a cover.

  13. @Crazy Ivan: only if the revenge is something that occurred in STF #4148. Which, in turn, could serve as a prequel/numerical anagram to STF #1484!

  14. @ my namesake: I wonder if Rogue used the powers she drained from the Parasite and Absorbing Man (in STF #2964) to destroy the Destroyer (at STF #1484)?

  15. Younger readers (which I presume includes Jared Mello) won't recognize Ross' nod to that image splashed across many late 70s DC comics: "You could be in the Superman movie! Details inside!" In fact, the contest was so successful that they ran two of them, for the first two Superman movies.

  16. Cool Twiny cover, How about making Bizzaro versions of both?

Or have Supergirl don her Red ring again, and give Captain marvel a Blue ring, to balance things out?
