These two look pretty good fighting together, due to the matching color costumes. I was never quite sure what purpose that scarf of Ms. Marvel's served though. She didn't seem to be cold because she kept her legs bare, after all. Still, it looked cool, so I didn't mind it.
Maybe it's a Kree thing.
ReplyDeleteI think you should've waited three days to post this one, Ross.
ReplyDeleteOh, and don't forget that Thursday is Star Wars Day, so something appropriate to that would be ideal. Most significantly, Carrie Fisher is supposed to get her Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so something with Leia would be best.
This is a good blend Ross, they go together well. Ms. Marvel's scarf is very dashing. But as Edna Mode would say - "No Capes! Or scarves either darling." She probably wouldn't allow baggy sleeves as well. And E-Man sounds like he's being a little complacent. Don't let your guards down folks.
ReplyDeleteI was a little disappointed when i saw the cover afte reading the title. I was expecting Kamala Khan, whose powers are similar to Ralph's powers. Carol hasn't been Ms. Marvel for decades...
ReplyDeletePutting that aside, great job as usual!
Harry, they met in STF 2303: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2018/08/elongated-man-and-ms-marvel.html
ReplyDeleteprobably find that she had turned her leggings into a scarf ?
ReplyDeletei always found that they never really made good use of the Elongated man, batman was a better detective, martian manhunter a better shape shifter, but he was the only really happily married man in the dc universe until they murdered his wife…
never thought that was carefully thought through…
will admit I was hoping for Kamala Khan from the title.
ReplyDeleteSimon, i couldn't agree more. The use of making Sue an "accidental" murder victim AND by Jean?? By extension, none of the heroes can trust each other because of their families.
ReplyDeleteRalph had the oldest marriage i believe that we saw. Yet he seems to have been short changed in so many ways.
As to the scarf, besides a fashion statement, maybe something to use in other ways when needed...like a rope or tourniquet.
And for values, Ralph may have a wide variety of knowledge that Carol wouldn't so he could be a help in many ways.
@Harry: Most of Ross' stories take place at some point in the past. This would be one of those stories.
ReplyDeleteAny are with Dick Dillin and Dick Giordano I like.
ReplyDeleteFor me, Carol Danvers is the once & future Ms. Marvel. Maybe Kamala can change her name to Binary (considering how her upper and lower torsos are different sizes at the same time).
ReplyDelete@Anon@8:32: The only reason I'll agree with Carol Danvers being the eternal Ms. Marvel is that, for me, the eternal Captain Marvel is Billy Batson... though I'll admit that I'd love to see another appearance here by Roger Winkle (perhaps alongside Jim Hammond and John Smith).
ReplyDeleteIf you simulate covers based on matching colored costumes, how about Elongated Man meets Deadpool?
ReplyDeleteP.S. @ Bob---there, our opinions must "split." I'd rather see him take on Amazo or the Super-Adaptoid...or maybe even Ultron!
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer to see the android Capt. Marvel take on Dr. Octopus. If only to see if the latter's tentacles could capture all those split-up body parts.
