I was disappointed that there was no appearance (or even mention) of The Vision in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. I figured that he would be a continuing factor in the saga of The Scarlet Witch. Still, he's out there somewhere, so he's bound to show up again - I'm not sure where, though. Maybe in the Agatha Harkness series?
Your cover poses an interesting question: are an android's powers (like Vision) absorbable? If not I think he'd have a chance. Obviously the similar situation would occur in the comics with Rogue.
ReplyDeleteI under stand that Amazo merely "mics" the powers, so he could possible copy Vision's powers.
Vision does get mentioned, but it's just one line in the entire film, so it's not much better than nothing.
ReplyDeleteVision can go intangible so it'd be hard for Amazo to hit him face on with a heat vision blast that strong and was it that focused? How would Vision be able to save himself ?
ReplyDeleteUnless Amazo had copied Zatanna's magic, I don't think even he would be invulnerable to Vision's (usually quite effective) tactic of partially solidifying inside an opponent's body. In an organic human, that had the same result as being tasered. In a synthetic human with robotic circuitry? Potentially more disruptive.
ReplyDeleteAs for a cinematic re-intro of the Vision? That could be accomplished by doing an Avengers sequel featuring the first of many attempts by Ultron to avenge his initial defeat. The premise being that the Avengers try to recruit their first new member, post-Endgame. The winning candidate? Simon "Wonder Man" Williams!
Some of the news media, like the Daily Bugle, think he's too good to be true. And they turn out to be more right than they know!
In short? Wonder Man is Ultron's Trojan horse rather than Baron Zemo's.
Oh, I get it! Wonder Man is an android body with the Vision's mental patterns, instead of the other way around.

ReplyDeleteOf the remaining Phase Four projects, the only one I see where Vision would be at all likely to show up is Armor Wars.
ReplyDeleteAs for today's cover, it looks to me like Amazo's using Justice League powers against Vision. The result on his arm looks like Superman's heat vision, though I don't think that usually causes red smoke to come from the eyes, so I'm not sure.
And isn't it high time Vision encountered Brainiac? (Preferably the original green pseudo-Coluan version, so we can compare their pates -- which could even be used as a plot point.)
Also, a suggestion for a future 100-pager: "Sibling Revelry." You have at least three sibling pairs here in the Danvers Twins, the Strange Brothers, and Hawkeye/Huntress, so why not feature them all together?
Amazo vs the Composite Superman maybe... the powers of the Justice league vs that of the Legion. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteOw. It was rough back in one of those mini-series where the Vision lost an arm, and I found out that he wasn't indestructible. A bigger fish always comes along I guess.
ReplyDeleteHow about a team-up between the Vision (preferably with the Scarlet Witch) and the android 'Hourman', perhaps set back when the latter was trying to work out what being an android rather than a [biological] human meant?
