I was surprised to see some suggestions for these two Cheetahs to clash, because I didn't really remember the Marvel version. It's no wonder why, he only made a couple of appearances before being killed off. The biggest head scratcher about him is that garish costume. He looks like a cool werewolf, why cover that up in a green and yellow disco outfit?
If you like today's villain battle, then you'll probably like what's in store for STF #3700 - coming tomorrow!
It'd be more interesting if mr Cheetah clashed with the green and yellow Vision...just for the clash of colors.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! When I first voiced this suggestion, I was hoping for Esteban Carracus vs. Barbara Ann Minerva. But, Debra Domaine (DC's Late Silver Age Cheetah) is even easier on the eyes! Mostly, because I'd almost forgotten how good that Josie Pussycat-suit looks on her.*

ReplyDeleteAha! I was expecting this male Cheetah to turn up in Ross's Cat-man/Tigra saga. He has that 70's groove all right. A Kree Sentry pumped him up to live as this Cheetah spirit, and rough up Mar-Vell in the process, but I don't remember the issue. Still, I can relate to other artists caught facing a deadline: some real zingers come out that no one ever forgets!
