These two may not quite match up in terms of power levels, but they both are determined mystery solvers, so I can envision a story where they might cross paths. I can only imagine what Captain Haddock's response would be when he realizes that Tintin's back up on this case is The Ghostly Guardan!
Would he, by chance, opine that something "fishy" was going on?
ReplyDeleteHow about Dazzler teaming up with Tyroc?
ReplyDeleteThat's not a Jim Aparo, but it's a great rendition in the spirit of the task needed.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the Spectre in a non-[DC-only] context makes me think: If he needs a new human soul for guidance, instead of Corrigan/Jordan/Allen, what dead non-DC characters would people consider good candidates for this?
ReplyDeleteIn response to Simreeve's comment, I would like to submit Pa Kent (whenever DC continuity deems him deceased). As to outside of DC continuity, my choice would be Uncle Ben !!!!!
ReplyDeleteBen Parker was also my first thought.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Professor Broom of the BPRD.*
ReplyDelete*A "Dark Horse" candidate, you might say.
For guiding the Spectre, Professor X. They would be bumping heads on all the deaths that might occur. While she is alive, I'd like to see Wonder Woman being his hostess.
ReplyDeleteWhere would she draw the line?
Ben Parker? "With great power must come great responsibility"? Oh, yes, very good choice, agreed.
ReplyDeleteProfessor Broom is the person who raised Hellboy to be a good person, yes? I agree that he also seems highly suitable.
I suppose that I should also suggest a candidate: How do people feel about the Kyle 'Nighthawk' Richmond from the Squadron Supreme?
@Simreeve: I'd like to see him marry Catwoman (perhaps as a result of saving her from Green Goblin, Senior?), just so Ross could entitle her...Selina Kyle-Richmond!

No, he "belongs" with The Mink (Julia Steele), who's sort-of his own reality's counterpart of Selena. (The surname 'Steele'for a burglar? That just has to have been a deliberate joke OOC...)
Hr'rmm, Ross, how about a Catwoman/Mink meeting in these pages? Maybe even with Felicia 'Black Cat' Hardy, as well?
How about Felicia "the Black Cat" Hardy meets Ralph "the Jaguar" Hardy, instead?
ReplyDelete@Anon1030: I second that emotion! :-)
ReplyDeleteThen, let the motion be...Cary'd!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: *GROOOOOOOOOOOOOAN!*
