It was pointed out in a recent comment section that I had not yet paired Etrigan up with The Hulk. I was surprised that I never had put them together, and agreed that they were overdue for a meeting. Something tells me that they would actually get along pretty well, as they both truly enjoy letting loose against hordes of enemies. Pity whoever got in their way!
What a cover!! What a cover!! swoon
ReplyDeleteIf Mr. T were foolish enough to get in their way, my pity would be for him!
ReplyDeleteThank you for finally bringing these two together. :-)
Correct on all counts, Ross! These two share a Jekyll-and-Hyde nature, the main difference being that (as far as I can recall) Jason and Etrigan are aware of each other's actions, while Banner and Hulk are not. Oh, and one is magic-based, and the other science. And I'm not sure how well Bruce and Jason would get along; probably a "I guess we'll try this" attitude at first, moving into a mutual respect.
ReplyDeleteNice work on the dialogue here, in particular. I can see Etrigan anticipating Hulk's responses and setting up his rhymes accordingly... and Hulk never noticing it.
Excuse me as I dust myself off. July 2, 2021. Demon meets the F.F. and a request for his next visit to be shared by the Hulk is submitted. What a delivery. It is so nice to see these two gentle souls have a chance to share such a quiet moment.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow's cover will be another fulfilled request from the comments.
ReplyDeleteNot bad but a classic Kirby kombo? Big Green and old yellar? Shouldn't be savage Hulk but really angry Hulk. Banner meet Merlin? No big deal. Hulk survive magic fire breath? Maybe. Maybe not. Now Hulk in Hell? Hell ya!
ReplyDelete@Horsefeathers: I like to speculate that Etrigan and the Hulk are taking on a mind-controlled Hellboy. Perhaps as the result of an Enchantress-kissed Puppet Master?
ReplyDeleteForget that. Want to see even better show: Puppet Master takes on the Hulk. Nothing is assured with this.
