Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is still over 11 months away from being released and there's already a ton of spoilers and speculation floating around. So far, I have ignored those headlines and have tried to stay away from anything that may ruin whatever surprises are in store. That's going to get a lot tougher to do as the movie continues filming and the release date draws nearer. Hopefully, Marvel will be able to keep any big revelations under wraps.
Maybe that's why Doc is recruiting the Unknown Soldier's ghost. To guard against too many premature spoilers.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover, but the Unknown Soldier is back among the living. In the Our Army at War Giant sized special, (I bought one at Wal-mart for the retro Kubert variant cover), the Unknown Soldier survived WWII and is now the Immortal Soldier.
ReplyDeleteUnless, of course, that's merely a grandson _posing_ as the original Unknown Soldier. You know; a la Kit Walker alias the Phantom?
ReplyDeleteIn which, the one astral-surfing with Doc is the _ghost_ of the original!
Love the cover!!! Tomorrow I will turn 64 and I share it with Bill Everett although he was born 50 years before me. Wow!!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering about what kind of mission the Dr would need this soldier for and not any other. That would have to be something unusual.
ReplyDeleteSomething related to Ragnarok, perhaps?*
