Has anybody checked out the current Strange Adventures comic featuring Adam Strange and Mr. Terrific? I like both of those characters a lot so I was interested in reading it, but some of the previews that I have seen make it look like yet another attempt to do a "grim and gritty" Adam Strange story, which I don't think ever really works. I prefer Adam as more of a straight up swashbuckler type. I still may pick up a digital copy once the series is completed and collected.
Adam Strange first met Ghost Rider in STF #3145...
Got it when it had started. spoilers....
ReplyDeleteasking Batman to research what happened
wife smoking and seeming like a rich man's spoiled wife
daughter looked to be killed
Adam was on a book tour of the book he wrote.
Since Adam had so many adventures, including being stuck in wars. Gaps in storytelling.
Hozzen peppers!! What a cover. Gang from Mars?? Visiting Earth? Ghost Rider is there?
ReplyDeleteHow long do you expect these toughies to last? Adam can sit back and enjoy the show as long as he ain't caught.
Zeta Beam Away!
Is the rumor true ? DC is co owned by another company- Discovery? Morgan Edge has landed.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm! Swoop-riding zombies emerging from the belly of the Millenium Falcon? How did they get to Rann from the GFFA? Through a zeta-beam-generated wormhole? And who sent them; Palpatine? Supreme Master Snoke? Or could it have been...Darth Andeddu!
ReplyDeleteTune in tomorrow for the answers! Same Adam-time; same Adam-channel.

"A-dam! Nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana-nana! A-dam!"
I have to agree with you there, Ross. Adam Strange really works best like a Quarter Pounder: lots of meat, with a bit of cheese on top. Some things do translate well into "grim 'n' gritty," but his adventures are not among them.
ReplyDelete@Cary: And yes, I'd be the perfect person to write and perform the theme -- though it wouldn't resemble the old Batman theme so much. I'm imagining something that people would think was a mashup of Green Hornet, Doctor Who, and Home Improvement.

ReplyDelete"Hmmmmm?!"
P.S.---Ten days till the Big Quadruple 3rd issue! Any hints as to who might be gracing the cover?
ReplyDeleteGhost Rider III. Thurston Howell III. A long play record aka ...33 1/3.
ReplyDeleteThere are possibilities you may not know you got.
The Danver Sisters and Power Girl.
My hope for #3333: Triplicate Girl and the Three Stooges.
ReplyDeleteGreat cover, Ross. Biker gang from Rann - perfect way to weave these two together.
ReplyDeleteI'd opt for they're being from Prakith via Rann.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes! I can see the logo on their leather jackets: "Andeddu's Angels."
