Dynomutt and Iron Man

This was a pairing that I had considered including in my Hanna Barbera/Marvel anniversary issue in STF #3100, but I thought that it was worthy of having a cover all its own.  Has anyone seen Scoob! yet?  I saw that Blue Falcon and Dynomutt are featured in the movie and I was wondering if it was worth checking out for fans of those characters.

  1. Dynomutt and Blue Falcon look great on _Scoob!_ but their personalities are different from the original show. The Blue Falcon in the movie is actually Blue Falcon's son, so their roles are kinda reversed. Big fan of yours here. Keep up the great work!

  2. Very nice combo Ross! I liked how Hanna-Barbera kept Dynomutt's origin a mystery. Was he a robot, a cyborg? It didn't matter. He was still a goofy, lovable character, but with superpowers. Maybe he would make a good companion for Inspector Gadget sometime. (Or not!) The "Silver Centurion" suit seemed to be a jinx, especially when it lost out to Firepower. It was great to see the red and gold armor, and Tony Stark, make a comeback.

  4. First I'm hearing of "Scoob!" Is that a direct-to-video flick? Or made-for-pay-cable TV?

  6. 1)Age of ULTRON in The CW's Riverdale (crappy soap opera not good 'ol Riverdale of the Comicbooks.). 2)Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Greets late 1980's Doom Patrol. 3) Dynomutt VS Catman & Kitten (Golden Age Super Team of a Grown Man & An 11 Year old Girl). 4) Controversial team-up Web Woman with her Alien Sidekick (Filmation) & Miles Morales The Ultimate Spider-Man & The WEB (MLJ, The Tarantula (DC)And The Destructor (ATLAS). 5) Where's Huddles? (Hannah & Barbera) meets Kickers INC (New Universe. 6) Doctor Strange Fate (Amalgam) Teams up with all the iterations of: DR Fate & Doctor Strange/Sorcerer Supreme (Doctor Strange wasn't always Sorcerer Supreme and The Sorcerer Supreme was not always Doctor Strange).

  10. You could argue that SCOOB! is more of a showcase for Blue Falcon and DynoMutt than the title character. As for the switch in personalities, if you stuck to the originals that would make two dogs who were the screw-ups.

  11. How about Dynomutt and Scooby Doo as "Ambiguously Gay Canines?"

    ;-)
