War Machine and Bulletman

Looks like War Machine is finally going to find his way back to his own era after battling the villain that sent him to WWII... regular STF: The Lost Issues visitors know that James Rhodes has been spending time in the past with Sgt. Rock, as depicted in STF #1613 and again in STF #1827, and that he also had a detour with G.I. Robot in STF #3070... I'd say that he has more than earned his ticket home.

  1. Yep. But it sure would be wild if he got back to the present, and found that he'd changed something in the past that screwed things up and so had to go back and fix things.

    (Maybe he finds that the Justice League now consists of various Tangent, Just Imagine, and Earth-Three alternates, along with Iron Beetle? I'm thinking Tangent's Batman and Joker, Earth-Three's Alex Luthor Sr. and Quizmaster, and Stan's Flash, Superman, and GL.)

  2. Another solid cover Ross. Virtually seamless.

    Is it just me, or does Bulletman look like the main character from the Dragon's Lair video game those many, many years ago?

  3. Which Immortus are we talking about? Belasco's rival for Lord of Limbo? Or the wizened old creep, and self-proclaimed general, who was always giving the original Doom Patrol so much trouble?

  4. @Anon1238: The first one, of course!

    @Tim: sort of.

  5. P.S.---this would make a great part two to your Sunday posting on the 18th. Kang reclaiming the chronal energy "borrowed" from him, by the Challs, in order to battle Immortus (for the kajillionth time).

  6. I'd say it's more like a part three. If you include the cover from Friday the 16th!

  7. More like Part 4...if you throw in the cover from Saturday the 17th.*

    *That way, Ross could entitle the whole story arc..."Let's Fight The Time War, Again!"

  9. @Bob Greenwade: Don't you mean, Doctor 8.5 (John Hurt)?

  10. @Anon@4:36: Not in this case (as demonstrated in the link).

  11. "Hillyweird" might be a better name for the show.

  12. I have to--reluctantly--agree with Anon839 on that point.
