I was very happy to hear the casting of John Majors as Kang for the MCU. He's been well reviewed in Lovecraft Country. Although I haven't seen that show yet, I enjoyed his performance in Da 5 Bloods. I have been waiting for Kang to show up since the first Avengers movie, and I can't wait to see the time travelling villain brought to life. Even cooler, he will make his debut in Ant-Man 3, which is sure to make that the biggest film of the trilogy. Will his involvement pave the way for the Fantastic Four to make their debut as well?
will we ever see live action challengers of the unknown hopefully on some cw shows
ReplyDeleteTime. Does Kang affect timestreams or just take things from them to use for himself? Has he ever really rewritten history that wasn't corrected?
ReplyDeleteThe super powered-less CofU would need assist in winning if not just blocking Kang.
Has Kang ever fought himself from other timestreams or Earths? The Greatest Kang of all time?

ReplyDeleteYeah, they even made a movie about it: King Kang!
Great pairing Ross. Now Kang can go after June in June. She could even team up with May Day Parker.
The Challengers were a great non-super team of the sort that you don't see much of these days.
ReplyDelete@Horsefeathers: Kang's done that a few times, I believe, and not just when he's Immortus or Iron Lad.
ReplyDeletePS @Ross: A confrontation between Teth-Adam and Rama-Tut might be interesting.
ReplyDeleteIs there a reason as to why the MCU hasn't rebooted the Fantastic Four already?
ReplyDeleteAsking for a friend...
@Unknown: Marvel didn't have the cinematic rights to the F4 until about a year ago, and even planning the movie, let alone working it into the schedule, takes time. COVID-19 hasn't helped any, either, with Phase 4 films being delayed by up to a year, so Phase 5, while probably well into planning, just hasn't been announced by much yet. But don't worry; as things settle down, we'll start hearing official news about the MCU's Fantastic Four, including a director, a cast, the main villain, and eventually a spot in Marvel's schedule.
ReplyDelete@ Ross: if it does, the FF movie will probably be a prequel, showing Kang as Pharaoh Rama-Tut.
ReplyDelete"Like sands thru an hourglass", these are the original Challengers lives. The shifting sands of fortune don't look so good for our favorite four pack.
ReplyDelete"Kang, Kang, Kang went the volley"
@ Horsefeathers, add TMNT's April to that group: April, May & June.
ReplyDelete@Tobor: That would certainly be an august collection of heroines.
ReplyDelete@Ross - beautiful. No complaint, but I might wish you could have found Kirby images.
ReplyDeleteNo matter. I would buy this book so hard that the staples would bend.
What they all said. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm big fan of the Challengers, so them meeting Kang is the perfect stormy marriage.
