These are two very underutilized characters, in my opinion. They are both pretty powerful and have interesting back stories. There have been very few solo stories featuring them, usually they are in a team setting. I think that there's plenty that can be done with both by featuring them in some solo adventures and allowing them to really shine. With the way comics companies are streamlining these days, who knows if that will ever happen.
Whose hand is it? My money is on Darkseid or Thanks...or maybe a morph of both...Thanseid!
ReplyDeleteI see Lockjaw too. That hand is going to get bit! And maybe Krypto will take a piece of the action.
Maybe Oom the Mighty. Last seen in All Star Squadron.
ReplyDeleteNowhere to go?! What about the original Outsiders? Or Halo's distant cousin Roy "Speedy" Harper?*
ReplyDelete*As I recall, the alien energy being that endows her with most of her powers took over an Earth girl named Violet Harper; and nobody on Earth-STF is ever coincidentally surnamed.
I just got a new smart TV, and with it added a subscription to Disney+ to Hulu. The first thing I did on Disney+ was watch the much-maligned Marvel's Inhumans. I thought it was quite good, really; I'd rate it favorably against the first seasons of most other Marvel TV shows. The only downside was the shaving of Medusa's head, though that did have a plot necessity and allowed for some character development that might not have happened otherwise.
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade: may it give new meaning to the phrase "Crystal TV."
ReplyDeleteCrystal had an interesting fight with Sue Storm. Something very unique.
ReplyDeleteYou sure it was Crystal and not Ororo Munro (justifiably objecting to being called "Storm Storm")?
ReplyDeleteyeah. It was crystal clear.
ReplyDelete@Double Question Mark: GOOD ONE! :-)
ReplyDeleteMike W. Barr really squandered his opportunity with this character. So much potential could have been extracted from the original Batman & the Outsiders and splitting them up, moving them to L.A., and adding unnecessary characters (Looker, Windfall, Atomic Knight?!?) was a waste.
