I have to admit that I had very little interest in the Morbius movie until i saw the teaser trailer for it a while back. The brief glimpse of Jared Leto in full Morbius make up looked great, far more faithful to the comics than I was expecting. Then, Michael Keaton shows up as Adrian Toomes (The Vulture) at the end! Now I am curious to see how much it will tie into the MCU/Sony Spider-Man movies, and who else might show up in the film.
Add Man-Bat to the mix and you'll have a party going thru the roof. How would these 3 interact with the Sentinels?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather see Andrew Bennett meet BTVS. Ross could entitle it...
ReplyDelete"Blood Red Moon Over Sunnydale!"
The Morbius movie should have some good tie-ins with the Sony Spider-Man movies. You may have noticed that the trailer also includes a Spider-Man wall art with the word "MURDERER" graffiti'd over it. There also are some Daily Bugle images referencing "Where is Spider-Man?," and a set photo has a Kraven Easter egg. All of this in a movie that's described as a Venom spin-off. Clearly, there are plans... including the possibility of a meet-up between Morbius and Blade.
ReplyDeleteWith today's cover, for some reason my mind wants "I... Vampire!" with "Werewolf By Night." Maybe it's just the titles.
On another note, I was about to ask for a return of the team-up between Mr. Terrific, Mr. Fantastic, and Mr. Incredible that you did way back in #78, and I stumbled upon a tag for someone who could join them: Mr. Majestic. (I also saw that Mr. Incredible doesn't have his own individual tag!)
It also just occurred to me that you could have some fun with who gets to baby-sit Jack-Jack Parr. Crazy Jane? Ms. Marvel? Roger Rabbit? Buttons (from Animaniacs)? The Power Pack? The Inferior Five? Ambush Bug? Batman? There's loads of potential there. (If I had a choice, I'd start with Roger Rabbit!)
Maybe a fan fiction could be about a rat (from the future(?)) that has fangs(?); the character could called Falancula, after "After Man..."'s falanx, a large, by rat standards, rat-like creature with fang-like incisors.
ReplyDeleteOr, better yet, BTVS and Usagi Yojimbo vs. Bunnicula in...
ReplyDelete"Gone Rabbid!"
With the rumors of weird movie projects proposed by Sony to use the spider-man universe, how about
ReplyDeleteMadame Web (Cassandra Webb) vs. Metron?
Who knows, even Professor X intrudes with his classic hover chair.
It would be the STF version of the 'musical chairs' ... lol
@Carycomic: ...and to think Rabbids was a spin-off of Ray-Man.
ReplyDeleteAs in, "Everybody Loves Ray-Man?"
