The latest trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker features an ominous moment where it appears that C-3PO is saying goodbye to his allies for the last time. If they must kill of the beloved droid, I hope that he at least sacrifices himself in a heroic manner. I'm still mad at the way they had Admiral Ackbar go out like a punk in The Last Jedi.
Cover looks simple, but with the lighting, I'd bet it took a while before you were satisfied Ross.
ReplyDeleteI still get a kick out of Magnut, robot biter meets the C-3PO front end of a computerized bicycle. "Delivering Tomorrow's Lunch Today".
They can always have the Kaminoans clone him (and use GFFA computers to sleep-teach him with every facet of the original's life).
ReplyDeleteHeh!
ReplyDeleteI bet Magnus thought he was C3PX. The protocol droid-turned-assassin!
Maybe Magnus could me the Jetsons(2017), whose robot was born a flesh-and-blood human.
ReplyDeleteHey Ross, if C-3PO were here, would he/it be able to leave a posting?
ReplyDelete"I'm not a robot" might be a bit of a block for him.
Nice cover.
@Carycomic and Ordinaryguy2: Here's an idea for a fanfic: Marvin the Martian (in "Mad as a Mars Hare") doesn't have his time projector (evolution ray) in reverse, but has it set too high, so he turns Bugs Bunny into, not a rabbuck (as in "After Man: A Zoology of the Future), but into a lagomorph-descended variation of a WILD BOAR; it could be titled "Killer Rabbuck". XD!
ReplyDeleteSilly rabbuck!
ReplyDelete;-)
Horsefeathers: Ha!
ReplyDeleteCryogenic! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI notice Magnus has never met the Daleks yet, or the Borg (or Lore), or Brainiac...
Or, to go for the comic angle, Bender: "Bite my shiny metal @$$, bigot boy!"
@Anonymous943: Not bad! And, as the Killer Rabbuck, maybe he could take on the joined forces of Deadpool and the TMNT.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous1237: Grooooooooooooooan!

Another fan of Dougal Dixon's work? I re-read 'After Man' most recently only a few weeks ago...
@Simreeve: The spiny-tailed squirrel was my favorite. :-)
