Calvin & Hobbes join The Green Lantern Corps

I really hope that some forward momentum is happening behind the scenes with a Green Lantern Corps movie.  It seems like ages since we have heard anything about it.  I'm guessing that we will have to wait until the release of Wonder Woman 1984 before Warner Bros starts to clarify the future of the DCEU, and where characters like Flash, Superman and the GLC are going.  We haven't even had confirmation that Matt Reeve's Batman movie will be connected to WW1984 or the still years off Aquaman sequel.  Will JJ Abrams be their answer to Marvel's Kevin Feige?

  2. This must be your cutest cover even making DC's Jar Jar Binks look good (you know I mean G'nort!).

  3. I like it, but I think you missed an opportunity to incorporate the Spaceman Spiff uniform here.

If Little Orphan Annie were a GL, would she sing "Tomar-Re! Tomar-Re! I love you, Tomar-Re!"?

  6. Oh, wow... now all we need is for C&H to team up with fellow GL Matt Murdock!

My understanding on the Matt Reeve Batman movie is that it will be crafted as loosely connected to the DCEU, but as a 20-year (or thereabouts) prequel, so while its events may affect what happens in other films, it won't be in a position to be affected by any other DCEU films (other than WW and WW84, of course, though even that will probably not happen).

Regardless, I'd look forward to a GLC movie, and I hope it doesn't take too much longer to get going.

  8. Suitably cute, Ross.

Next thing, you know, we might be seeing...FELINE FORCE VS. ALF!*

*Zabu, Bill the Cat, Catwoman, Marvel's Black Cat, and Harvey's Golden Age Black Cat.

  9. This is hilarious! Not seen much of his work before but it reminds me of Hembeck's column in old DC comics.

I did find a guide though to characters, some of which I did not recognize his version:

  12. If ALF were a Green Lantern, he'd have Hobbes for breakfast. Literally!

  13. Immediately following which, Spaceman Spiff would blow ALF apart...with a Sinestro-style power ring.
