I see that The Invisible Woman is currently the star of her own self-titled mini-series. It's amazing to me that is has taken this long for her to get a solo book. Growing up, I always considered her to be the premiere female superhero in the Marvel Universe. Plus, she has a great power set, arguably making her the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four. Hopefully once the FF head back to the big screen, her profile will rise even more.
True, but funny if you read the FF in its first year. Sue said in a story that the fans considered her the weak link since all she could do was turn invisible. Ben yelled at the readers they should watch female wrestlers if they wanted to see fighting women. Sue has changed so much over the first fifty years (including becoming a mom).7
ReplyDeleteRalph became more and more of a detective, but stayed well adjusted. Even some major villains refused to attack him when his Sue was killed.
This would be a different sort of team up since Sue would already have great knowledge on what a stretching superhero could do.
Awesome! I recognize that green-droid. The same model the Mad Thinker once sicced on Spidey to test the web-slinger's spider sense.
ReplyDeleteFunny title!
ReplyDeleteAnother interesting match up would be Sue Storm and Mera. Both have force fields, and surprisingly low profiles
Ross, have you ever had the Thinker and the Mad Thinker join forces?
ReplyDeleteThis could have a follow-up with the Expansion Team!
ReplyDeleteThe pun was painful!
ReplyDeleteNo pain/no gain! :P
ReplyDeleteRalph had it all wrong. That droid was an uber driver, sent to take them to IHOP for a Hallmark moment. Jean Loring was trying to apologize to Ralph but got her Sues mixed up. What a fun filled parallel Earth.

ReplyDeleteWith Bat-Mite and the Impossible Man pulling all the puppet strings, how could it not be?*
ReplyDelete*See BRAVE & THE BOLD: TLI #254. ;-)
She seems to be thoroughly stunned that its not Reed stretching to her rescue.
