The Herculoids Vs. Godzilla

While the Godzilla reboot a few years back had some impressive visuals, it ultimately didn't work for me as a movie.  Bryan Cranston was killed off too early, not enough of Big G in action, and I really wasn't crazy about the design of the MUTO's.  Godzilla: King of All Monsters, appears to be a big improvement, based on the trailers.  All of the classic kaiju - Mothra, Gamera, Ghidora and more, will be back for this second installment, and the action seems to be non-stop.  I don't know if the plot will hold it all together, but at least it's going to be a fun movie to look at!

  3. Syfy had a kids' programming block (back when it was the Sci Fi Channel) called Sci-Fi Cartoon Quest; the live-action family "introducing" the block were dressed like the Herculoids.

  5. Unless Daiei Studios has licensed the rights to use the name of their particular arch-kaiju, I don't think Gamera will be making any cameos.

  6. I recognized Millie Bobby Brown in the trailers, and I also see Zhang Ziyi in the cast list, so even if everything else about G:KotM sucks it will at least have something worth watching. (I say that having still not yet seen the 2014 Godzilla.)

  7. In Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law's "Dead-O-Mutt", was Phil Ken Seben making out with "The Godzilla Power Hour"'s Jana of the Jungle?

  9. @Cary'c: I believe you're confusing them with Ariel and Ecco in "Agents of the Abyss."

  10. The boy from that Hanna Barbara Godzilla cartoon looked like Dorno from the Herculoids.
