It looks like Spider-Man will be donning an black uniform at some point in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home. This doesn't seem symbiote-related though, more like a stealth suit, probably from Nick Fury. I'm sure it will have some cool new capabilities. Thank you to Marc Tyler Nobleman, comics historian and Patron of this Blog, for suggesting this meeting of the black suits.
These two have had four previous STF adventures... Superman gathered heroes to find a missing Spidey... There was a movie of their classic crossover... once when they were undergoing an identity crisis... and once when they decided to have a car fight.
If this look had been used in the 70s when they professionally met, they might have made more than just one more crossover. Since Spidy met Wonder Woman as well, in the second team-up, it would be nice to see him join the J.L.A. at some point.(hintt, hint)
ReplyDeleteWho knows, Ross, if DC & Marvel are ever allowed to play together again, maybe your covers will inspire THEM!
I say Psycho-Man is behind their shift in crime-fighting attitude. Maybe with the semi-unwitting help of The Prankster!
ReplyDeleteI love very early (Marvel) Jon Bogdanove, but his later stuff (DC) was not to my liking.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know, Ken. He did a hilariously good job as head writer and director of the 1972 cult-classic "WHAT'S UP, DOC?"!
ReplyDeleteUhm! I believe you mean "Peter Bogdanovich."
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! Him, too.
ReplyDeleteInsert face-pam icon, here.
ReplyDeleteWith that title, I was half-expecting Supes and Spidey to be confronting Alfred E. Newman. (And who knows? Maybe they are, in the story within!)
ReplyDeleteCertainly, Alfred would be an appropriate and fun subject to include next April 1.
I'd settle for Alfred E. Newman meeting Alfred Pennyworth.
