Moon Knight and Green Arrow

I was surprised to hear that Emily Bett Rickards will be leaving Arrow before they have their final 10-episode season next year.  The Felicity Smoak character has been controversial among the fan base since the early episodes, but at this point she has been such a big part of the show, it will be strange to see her gone.  Will Ollie be avenging her death?

These two heroes first met in STF #1267...

  1. Another great team up. These two would really compliment each other. Jake Lockley, Moon Knight's cabbie identity, never seems to get as much play as his millionaire & mercenary personalities. This team up would be a chance to put Ollie's working class championing politics along side a "real" working class guy.

  2. That's gonna be an interesting puzzle since Felicity Smoak was just seen in the future time segment of Arrow. I wonder if they will change the timeline on the show like they did with Barry & Flashpoint? When felicity visited Barry when he first awoke from his lightning induced coma, she really brought out the best in him too. Even Iris thought so.
The CW Network has really made a name for itself with all the quality superhero shows. I hope the cast can make it thru season 8 like Gotham's crew did in their final year.

  3. Emily's leaving, but has it been truly announced that Felicity will be dying and not just going away to parts unknown? She could be heading off to that cabin in the woods to raise Mia (with a little help from Auntie Talia) away from whatever insanity is about to befall Star City. That's a scenario we've already seen, in flashbacks from the flash-forwards.

That aside, I'll miss seeing Emily on the show. She took what was originally intended as a one-off character with an "Easter egg" name, and turned it into a beloved regular character who probably won't make it into the comics (at least, not until the next major reboot). She's also the most adorably huggable individual in the Arrowverse.

  4. Great cover! A truly awesome team-up.

As for the ARROW series. I was surprised to find out that many people cannot stand the Felicity character. ARROW is often morose with a lot of people getting killed off at any given time. I think she has brought some humanity to the show, not to mention she's quite easy on the eyes. Having her assisting Green Arrow as Overwatch also added some realism to the proceedings. There has been so many tragic deaths throughout the history of the show, that killing her off would be wrong on every level.

  5. A few colour co-ordinated suggestions...

She-Hulk and Princess Fiona (from Shrek)

    The Beast and the Smurfs

  6. Great cover Ross. An exemplar of your work!

As for Felicity, I will be sad to see her leave. However, the episode of her raising their daughter pretty much sums up where she will be in the final season.

  7. Insanity gas, huh?

I wonder if Crossfire has teamed up with the Joker.

  8. @Cary: More likely, the two Scarecrows (Laughton and Crane).
