I haven't seen Nemesis in several years and that's too bad. The last place I remember him appearing was as a supporting character in Wonder Woman, but I don't know if he made the cut in either of DC's last two reboots. I loved his back-ups in Brave and the Bold as well as his brief time in Suicide Squad. Hopefully he'll find a new home the next time a DC hero needs a master of disguise super spy to lend them a hand.
DC is holding a big spy agency crossover in a few months. Leviathan, I think it's called. Hopefully, he'll show up then.
ReplyDeleteI'll welcome any kind of revival of him. So long as he doesn't disguise himself as his 1960's namesake from ACG Publishing! That guy dressed like Capt. USA from "Charlton Comics Premiere #3."
ReplyDeleteNemesis popped up in Heroes in Crisis #6 as one of the heroes at Sanctuary.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of a master of disguise, DC also needs to bring back THE HUMAN TARGET.
ReplyDeleteForget DC Comics Wolfhammer.
ReplyDeleteRob needs to use The Human Target who has shockingly not appeared in 2536 covers.
I always thought he should've gone down the list of both DC's Who's Who & Marvel's Handbook at some point & made sure he had used every character that had to offer (just for variety's sake & to make the widest possible group of comic fans happy).
I still can't believe Thundra & a bunch of super- villainesses (his single biggest omissions category = Golden Glider anyone?) hasn't popped up yet.
He could solve all of the above problems by teaming up Thundra with The Human Target as they take on a new multi-company team of super-villainesses with a Rob inspired name, logo & motive.
Hint. Hint.
Oooo- there's an idea. The Masters of Disguise. Human Target, Nemesis, The Unknown Soldier, and Chameleon Kid vs Mysterio
ReplyDeleteCC: Thundra has appeared on the blog.
ReplyDeleteHow about SPY SMASHER VS SPY MASTER?
ReplyDelete@Matt: I wasn't even aware they had mass-marketed H.I.C. #2!
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of the usual torrent of suggestions every time the word "phantom" appears on this blog, I'd like to suggest...
ReplyDeleteThe Phantom Blot (Basil Blackspot) teaming up with Clayface (Basil Karlo). Chief O'Hara would then call in Mickey Mouse and Chief O'Hara would call in Batman and Robin, or maybe the other way round.
Ross could even entitle it: "Out, Dang Blot!"

Unless he appeared in disguise as somebody else, of course...
^_^
Who's Rob?
ReplyDelete@Ross: Older brother of Chip and Ernie. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Listen to all the googling.
ReplyDelete:-)
I suspect Rob is Ross from an alternate universe, Earth-Autocomplete or Earth-Autocorrect
ReplyDelete@Anon #5: Unless he was consumed by...Morlun's Minions!

I thought he meant Rob Petrie
@Wildcat: ROFLMAO.

I'd still like to see this, if it were not for the limitation of getting images:
ReplyDelete"The M&M's Candy Crew have just been framed for the death of Willy Wonka and Angel O'Day (from Angel And The Ape) and the folks from the Mystery Machine (hint) want to know which one did it in "Chocolate Meltdown."
Maybe use heads only from the cast of characters (like the JLA roll call) looking down in shock at Willy Wonka's body in the spotlight.
"Chocolate Meltdown." I like that!
ReplyDeleteFar better than "Cavity Crisis" (or anything else similar to it).

'Crisis on Infinite Teeth'?
^_^
Simreeve, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember the cartoon, the Toothbrush Family?
I remember a TV commercial where the Prince of Fluoristan constantly battled to protect the City of Enam-El from Tooth De Cay (renegade French Crusader) and his Tartar hordes.
ReplyDeleteNemesis (DC) VS Nemesis Enforcer (Marvel Animation/Sunbow Entertainment)
ReplyDeleteOr Nemesis (DC) vs. Nemeis (Resident Evil).
ReplyDeleteNemesis was in "Heroes in Crisis" #6 for one panel.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that dead informant is Rats McTattler's grandson?
