Moon Knight and Elongated Man in: You're Gonna Need a Stretcher!"

That's right, the boys are back!  Wait... you didn't think that when I first paired these two together in STF #2169, that it was just going to be a one-off adventure, did you?  Sorry, there's just too much to explore with a partnership of such epic proportions.  Yeah, you may as well just get used to it - this is a thing now.

  1. Awwww, yeah...
Maybe it's due to Jimmy Olsen's Elastic Lad or Plastic Man's wackiness - I'm a fan of stretchable super-heroes. Except for the whole drinking gingold to gain his super powers - don't try this at home kids, we're trained professionals! - I think Ralph's nose for a mystery is pretty cool. I'm bummed that he and Sue were shuffled off in 52.

  2. Yeah, I admit it. I thought this pairing was a one-trick pony. I mean, they have so little in common! So, STF #2165 could have been published, in the real world, as a temporary alliance of convenience against a mutual enemy. Like, say, Libra of ZODIAC?

But, a permanent partnership? I don't know, Ross. The jury's still out on that, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe they'll arrive at a verdict if you can pull a rabbit named "Trilogy" out of the proverbial hat.

  3. H'mm.

Talking of the Dibnys, who else here thinks that in the STF universe Sue Dibny and Janet Van Dyne would probably be friends?

  4. @Simreeve: why not? They both originated as debutantes.

  5. Speaking of recurring pairings, it's been a while since we've heard from the Danvers Twins. I've been enjoying the most recent twists on one twin's TV show, and have tickets to see tomorrow's premiere of the other twin's movie, so that's had me thinking of them.

Still, somewhere between now and the opening of Shazam!, I'd like to see Billy Batson losing a smackdown with Carol Danvers, with the proclamation, "Okay, okay! You can have the name! Sheesh!"

  11. Talking of relatives: the final issue of the Batman'66/Archie crossover has revealed that Dick Grayson's aunt Harriet, whose surname canonically is 'Cooper', is also a great-aunt to Riverdale resident Betty Cooper...

  12. I think I should be jealous. Because, in my hometown, only the first two issues got mass-marketed in paper form! So, I'm forced to surmise you bought the entire limited series on-line.

Nope. My hometown (Worthing, West Sussex, England) has a specialist comics shop _ even if it is open for only three days a week...
